It really is a tightrope. Guys like Jimmy, Jon, or Cole would need to be coddled to make it past a certain point but they can't just act like throwing Fatty in is the solution to that problem. Jon wanted to leave as soon as he realized he was being made fun of and that it wasn't a show he could come away from looking cool on. Cole only wanted to be on the show if he was actively being coddled. Jimmy had a slight leg over them both because he doesn't have their fragile egos, but he's still got no self control or control over his emotions.

It makes me think, if Fatty were a contestant (let's just pretend it's a mind-wiped Fatty that's never been on the show before) he would be out so fucking fast too.

I don't want to think they're damned to always having an awkward phase at the end of the show where the finalists are people like Josie, Vance, TJ, and Shinji who turtle up. Jet even said a few times this season to contestants that it's not the contestant's job to provide content but that doesn't really fly when they were clearly out of ideas at the end.


Stream summary:

Greg was on Alex Stein

Tayleigh (220 avg, started high but burned down) had a small stream today, just Animal Crossing and a bit of ribbing over Liquid Q. Her whole Animal Crossing town is decked out with goth stuff. Then GTA at the end. She's not getting much better at talking while gaming but she's aware and working on it, I suppose.
Jimmy (80avg) went live on the back end of it. Some people in his chat pointed out to him that someone in her chat had made her look at a clip of him talking to her (it was some uninteresting moment, the guy was dumb for suggesting it) and he instantly came in to see why they were talking about him and they tangled their streams up again. Her chat was mad because it's the second time he's done that but it was very obvious she was just happy talking to him again lol.

So far this stream's a good example of what I was saying about what Jimmy can do that Shinji unfortunately cannot - he started at 11 and said he's just going to hang out until 5 AM because he's not busy. His views have remained shockingly stable, although low considering how long he's going for and the fact he keeps stopping for a black&mild.
I had this spiel last season about how streaming is only really important as far as what the fish get out of it - I've seen at least a dozen offers to send Jimmy information or instructions about things he is interested in and like Tayleigh he's clearly using this to socialize in a way he can't irl.

Because he was throwing tantrums and refusing to do challenges he thought were making fun of his autism. There is a specific part during the "act like a retard challenge" where he takes the crutches and throws them across the room because he feels like he is being mocked.

Usually she cracks a joke any time she does it. She seems to have played the hell out of this game because she instantly can pick them out from crowds with a quick glance. But today she seems like she was far more exhausted than any other stream she has done, two red bulls and a coffee did basically nothing to perk her up.




She also talked about seeing the Behind the Scenes video, and the topic of her interview video came up with the swastika crochet thing behind her.


Also she seems to have decided stop ignoring the stalker since he crossed the line to just mocking him. Stating that she went to the /bant/ thread which is where she saw an image of some of his earlier posts where he says the only form of human contact he has had in a year was touching his professors hand when shaking it. Of all the fucking cast in either season he chose one of the worst possible options to annoy, likely the one and only option worse to annoy would be Frank Hassle directly

Jon, Van (Love America) and Josie stream has been long and mostly trash. The Youtube video was taken down due to a strike after they played with airsoft guns in the mall. Van is the least drunk but has hopped a curb twice, getting stuck once, and Jon has been insufferably drunk. They're doing karaoke now in Josie's room but Jon is actually too wetawded to do it properly.

I've recorded the vast majority of it, though I started on Twitter as I was unaware of the Twitch stream. I should have the Youtube stream. I'll upload everything to gofile later, I haven't been taking notes because most of it is simply awful.

The glut of fish streaming post-tank has been tedious to me. It hardly fits any of them. I can see Tayleigh and Jimmy being decent streamers. Tayleigh has the right kind of loner personality, Jimmy seems to have something to bring out to show people. The rest are just "I'm streaming", completely empty.
I can see it being good for a Fish to just have an exit stream to farm cash once or twice after a Season. That's what Letty's nature accidentally caused for her. Its not bad, its avoiding the saturation of too many streams too.
I don't get much of the parasocial I guess. The Fishtank context is the only time I would ever find these people interesting.

Might be a shorter one but Trishes stream was pretty ok. Don’t recall it being anything to particularly write home about. The melchors lets play for today was left 4 dead 2 then overwatch 2. First half of L4D2 was pretty good (bantering & what not). The main highlight of the night was they played L4D2 versus & someone (possibly DrPhilMyBalls) was sperging in the game chat & trash talking Trish & sister which was pretty funny. Caused Trish to turn off her game chat lol. She also got zooted again & towards the end of versus she was completely milky eyed. Looked like she had no idea where she was. Also noticed (for the most part) i think shes done caring about the N word spam until PhilMyBalls is like HIDE THE FUCKING CHAT. Trish is flying out to Dallas tomorrow (Thursday). Im assuming for Alex stein & whatever the Tai thing is. Interesting observation: (someone as always can correct me) I feel theres a slighty subtle bitterness between the melchor siblings. Could just be simple sibling rivalries though (im an only kid lol). Also this stream was actually slightly longer than normal nearly being 4 hours instead of 3.

All in all not bad but not on yesterdays level imo

Some notes from Jon's stream with Josie. Jon was very obnoxious throughout and would be embarrassing to be around in public as he loudly speaks on multiple right-wing conspiracies and how much of a business man he is. These streams would get him a Youtube strike and his Twitch taken down.
No surprises from Josie, though if you haven't kept up with her this is the most casual you might see her in public.

I don't think Jon made any money from this.
  • Jon and Van waited to meet up with Josie at the mall
  • Jon is really keen on snuff now and insists Josie and 2 random fans later try it
  • Jon did his first Build-a-Bear and mentioned it somehow has to do with something from season 1 and showed a picture to Josie so she would understand what he was referring to.
  • They went to Round 1, an arcade Josie likes, and Jon did a silly dancing game and they later played Pump It Up which looks like a knock-off DDR
    • Jon puts his entire weight into each step on the dance pad
  • Jon mentions he has never been inside of Hot Topic before so Josie makes it a point to go in there
    • He apparently likes Avatar: The Last Airbender and Adventure time
    • He points to some edgy pants with a skull saying "That's me in middle school."
    • It's kinda just awkward but fun to watch
    • Upon seeing a FNAF shirt, Josie explains The Bite of '87 to Jon and Van
      • Jon asks, "Was dat a weal pizza pwace?" I think he believes the absurd story
  • Some fans link up, it's not awkward but they are a drag
  • They go to hang in the food court but get told to leave for recording after Jon spouts off about conspiracies
  • They shoot some airsoft guns
    • Jon helps Josie shoot better
    • The Youtube stream gets taken down due to this
  • Jon goes into seethe mode over the stream being taken down. Later says they will make a Kick account to use going forward
    • When riding in the car, Jon talks to a guy named Steve and asks if Steve has the login info for his Youtube account
  • Van sells some merch from the back of his car
  • Jon, Van and Josie go to get some food. The two hangers-on part ways.
    • Jon starts to drink and get rowdy
  • Back in the car, Jon replying to a chat asking if Jon fucks with "big booty latinas" (an Alex Stein joke)
    • Jon says he does and if you're a big booty latino (meant "latinas") to send him a DM if you're over 18.
  • They head to a bar
    • They pregame with some White Claws and Jon is very insistent on everyone shotgunning them
    • Jon tells viewers he hates the swuts working there that talk to them but keeps wanting to hang with them
    • You get to see them all do some awkward dancing at a bar where no one is dancing
  • Van does a little bit of drunk driving, Jon is really drunk by now
    • Van will run over a curb twice tonight
  • They play at a park Josie is familiar with that has a zipline
  • Jon wants to go to Josie's house to keep hanging out before he and Van get a room for the night
    • I think Jon actually wants to crash at her place to save money but is too proud to ask
    • Josie asks if they like karaoke...
  • Back at Josie's they do karaoke in her room
    • Van takes care to cover the camera when walking up to her house which is surprisingly considerate
    • Jon can't do karaoke
    • Josie and Van have a good time for awhile
    • Josie needs to go to bed so says bye to Jon and Van
  • Jon and Van back in Van's car
    • They look for a hotel on their phone
    • Jon drunkenly reveals he has no money and no bank account, he uses Venmo
      • I may have misheard but pretty sure Jon says "$9" when showing Van
    • Jon drunkenly says how great Josie is and how she's fun to be around.
    • He keeps drunkenly talking about stuff and is asked about his favorite fish from season 2.
      • Summer and Meg are his favorite "females"
      • Jimmy is his favorite guy
      • He's clearly not familiar with season 2 overall or almost anything that happened on it
      • Then he goes on about how Letty and Sylvia have done "crazy shit" towards him but Summer follows Jesus Christ and is really nice
    • Jet apparently told Jon he wanted him on season 2 but changed his mind 2 minutes later
      • Jon said he didn't ever ask to be on
  • They show up to a motel
    • Jon walks outside with the streaming phone to talk on his personal phone with Vance
      • Stresses that the audience can't hear him
      • Says he's meeting up with Kyle Undercover tomorrow (February 28 )
    • Van comes back bothered that they can't get a room there but it isn't clear to me why not
  • Back in Van's car
    • Jon continues talking to Vance, saying he is down to hang out with Vance after "the tour" (roadtrip)
    • Van heads back inside for awhile
    • Jon asks Vance what kind of Van he'd buy, it sounds like Vance is considering getting a van. You can hear Vance pretty clearly sometimes
      • "You know what's better than vans though? Japanese cars like Toyotas and Hondas and Subarus."
      • Vance replies, "Well yeah.. I was thinking of getting a Japanese van.. do they not make those?"
    • Van returns and chat is saying that Jon shouldn't trust Van, describing him as "this Koresh looking motherfucker." Van gets a kick out of it.
    • Jon shows some Vance DMs in an attempt to show Vance's profile to prove he's talking to Vance

Can’t speak for all of them but id assume with Trisha & Tayleigh it’s steaming donations. Im not sure how much they get but interestingly (can’t remember exactly when this was) pointed out she wants to get a job is a tattoo shop employee presumably after the F.T “fame” has completely died done. I think its interesting because that (imo) suggests she potentially doesn’t make a ton from streaming
