Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

It is fucked up, but the train of thought is obvious. Attack something that should be weak, take some PR shots to convince western BBC readers that Ukraine is striking back, can strike back, and just needs big guns and bigger ammo stocks to do even better. Problem is normies don't care, the war's "normal" now, and political goodwill is fading with it. They did this successfully early in the war, feels like they're trying to recapture that lightning in a bottle.
Case and point

3)Result:
A sleepy tourist in his underwear with a Saiga scared away a Ukrainian Diversion and Reconnaissance Group in Crimea, where he had come for a vacation.

And then:
In Crimea, Russian security forces have liquidated 4 boats of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG), which at night shelled a campsite with people. About it reports Telegram-channel Shot. The liquidation occurred in the sea at about 04:00 Moscow time. According to preliminary data, there were 15-20 people on the boats. Earlier it was reported that unknown persons at 03:50 Moscow time shelled the campsite in the village Olenevka near Cape Tarkhankut. Eyewitnesses said that they saw two rubber boats in the sea near the shore. They were shelling the campsite, presumably from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. They managed to hit the campsite once, after which the unknown men hurriedly fled. No one was injured.

I don't know if it's true, but kinda funny. Instagram is blocking videos of the destroyed abrams.

Speaking of the destroyed Abrams, there’s a new video of the tank getting hit.

Remember how we talked about that it looked like a catastrophic hit?

Well it was. The video shows the ammunition igniting and cooking off immediately after getting hit.

35.000$ drone vs 10.000.000$ tank.

But the ammunition cooking off can only happen to inferior Soviet tanks!? The Abrams has a little door!

My god, they really just sent 5 rinky dinky ass boats manned with nothing but RPGs to shoot at a civilian campsite for no other good reason than Zelinsky having something, anything to highlight to the press.
We are hitting levels of disregard for human life that shouldn't be possible

A note on Robotyne. The Youtube Channel Weeb Union detailed tonight that the Ukrainians have reinforced the area with three additional brigades recently.

128th Mountain Assault Brigade (arrived at Robotyne on 19-Feb)
5th Tank Brigade (arrived 27-Feb)
116th Mechanized Brigade (Arrived around 20-Feb)

In total, if true, these are significant reinforcements and explain part of the recent back and forth fighting at Robotyne.

Two of the brigades are vehicle-heavy and the downside of that is that Robotyne (the village) is almost completely destroyed and in a low spot with the Russians on the high ground. It would seem to make the position both difficult to supply and prone to a large number of vehicle losses.

Just thought I’d post a little Abrams cope, written before February :)

Here’s the thread, it’s some of the most autistic shit I’ve seen in a while.

Sounds like an absolute shooting gallery between ATGMs, drones, artillery and Russian aerial supremacy.

Yeah, the Warthunder player base (mainly people going to the threads) can be very autistic.

I hate how the dumb 'russian bias' meme from the early days of World of Tanks moved to Warthunder.

Are these brigades or “brigades"?

Difficult to tell. The 116th I think came directly from Avdiivka. Its probably understrength and/or damaged.

The 128th Mountain Assault Brigade is the brigade that got hit with an Iskandar in Zaporizhzhia back in November 2023. I'm not sure where it was between December and February.

There is an article that says that the 5th tank brigade was formed (or at least equipped with tanks) in December 2023. That would make it well equipped with new tanks and equipment fresh from NATO but its training and quality as a "new" unit would be suspect.

I think parts of this video has been shown before, but jot all of it. In case it’s too big for the site, here’s a link:

It’s some real hardcore spetznas shit, and trigger warning: VERY dead Ukrops and Polacks.

Should be pretty interesting for you weapons spergs. Seems they use some fairly non standard equipment.

Can someone with telegram upload the video? Danke!

Can't wait for the brain implosion of redditors who supports both Palestine and Ukraine. When the Jews, who is oppressing poor Palestinians, are now supplying Ukraine with defense system, does that make them the good guy now?

They'll cope fine. After all, there are variants with israeli (occupation & genocide good) & ua (occupation & genocide horrible) flags in their bio.
I guess NPCs don't actually process the narratives they're handed, just regurgitate them wherever they're present.

You know I was watching a Russian streamer called Iron_Sultan on twitch and he showed some videos of troops on the front. There was some guy in an active warzone with bullets flying and shells falling all around in a ruined building filming himself and saying that he was extremely happy and had the best job in the world. How do people attain this sort of psychological state? It's clear he's a battle-hardened vet but how can a man get used to such an environment, let alone enjoy what he's doing there? I feel like so many Russian volunteers clearly aren't motivated by money. What else can compel a man to put his life in danger and still be so happy and unperturbed? Is it ideology? Religion? What's keeping these troops going? I'm perplexed and I've spent two years in the army and I feel nothing there can prepare you for an actual conflict since you know you're not in danger.
Some men enjoy killing other men, within the context of war.
Some men come alive under fire.

It might be the CIA trying to use the site to fish for classified Russian secrets, otherwise there may be a leak of info on the Abrams tank soon
I thought they already leaked the specs on that game? I think some spergs did that for American and Chinese tanks?

You could see the ammunition going up on them first video releases.

It looks like one or two blowtorches coming out of the back of the turret

See here, not how the crew hops out while the ammo is burning.

And here's it being tested

The Abrams was designed to keep the crew safe and alive more than almost any other tank made at the time.

The Merkava has the engine on the front, which protects the driver from frontal penetration, which is nice. It also has a door on the back so the crew can leave easier. IDK about its ammo storage.
