Yep, dumb as fucking dirt.
His only disguise was a COVID mask, so the teller was able to ID him as a short-arsed Asian bloke who was even smaller then she is.
He didn't check for a tracker in the money bag until he'd travelled by train and then on foot back to where he lives, allowing them to track him all the way.
He hid the tracker and cash so poorly that both were easily discovered by chance.
He was caught on multiple CCTV cameras so clearly that when his image was shown to a fellow student, he basically said "yeah, that's definitely Colin Dong!".
He was even tracked by his own Wi-Fi username, "huaize", as a device he was carrying (a phone I assume) connected to various points around the city, at the university, and at the train stations he used to make his getaway, lol.
He didn't dispose of the clothing he wore when carrying out the robbery, and it was recovered from his dorm room.
He might as well have just handed himself in, Minority Report style, before he even did it, just to save time.

The best part is it wasn’t even cell provider records or location history, the dumb fuck’s phone was just logging into the university network with his unique username, at his getaway train stations no less. Even just fucking airplane mode would have removed this evidence.
