If a family member was ill I don’t think Nick would hide it. Nick’s streams have endless toasts for dead dads and cancer battling sisters, so an ill family member would rally support. Whatever is going on Nick thinks it would reflect poorly on him or deems it embarrassing, so it’s a verboten topic.
The things most likely to fit that description, besides admitting substance addictions, are psychiatric or marriage problems. Of course Nick always claims his marriage is fine, but all his actions indicate the opposite. He wants to do streams focused on “relationships,” constant coomer sex talk BS, American Beauty so relatable, hot tub stream, etc… I sometimes wonder how much of his recent streaming is aimed at Kayla instead of the audience.
I agree that personal or family illness does not fit at all for that reason. Speculation about what specific extraordinarily rare illness Nick or a loved one must have used to be one of the most common detours in this thread, though happily that hasn't happened in a while.
Based on the timing of the "Worst Day" incident shortly after the Depp trial, my suspicion always was that it was something to do with Nick thinking that he's a real celebrity now and didn't need to continue pretending about his beliefs, and that it may have involved Nick telling his in-laws the whole trad dad Christian thing was always an act for their benefit, or telling Kayla the marriage was opening whether she liked it or not, or both. However, his descriptions were so vague that it's hard to get a handle on what exactly happened.
Nick also gave a strong hint that his online shenanigans leaked into his real life when talking about the church group he was invited to at the end of last year and discussing his response to people bringing up totally fake rumors they read online, though again, he did the weird tic he has of appearing to tell actual things that happened in the form of hypotheticals.
I suspect the Mandy stuff has made existing marital problems worse. He's admitted in the past that some of the things he said went too far and hurt her, and we know she watches/watched Elissa Clips videos...I can't imagine losing your husband to a man feels good.
I think Nick leaning into the Mandy shit was his passive aggressive way of giving Kay the finger. If she’s being pouty, not cooperative with cooming stuff, locked Nick out of the bedroom, etc..Nick can’t go openly seethe about such grievances on stream but he can coom over other “cool” chicks with big titties, talk about how relatable American Beauty is, or drink more in retaliation.
I tend to think that it was a last desperate attempt to get "Mandy" to go to Anime Matsuri without basically begging "her" like he did the previous year.
The Mandy stuff is embarrassing but I can't imagine it's worse than seeing your husband follow an actual prostitute near your area, a woman with escort ads easily findable online, on his Instagram account. Oh and he happened to have followed that account sometime a little before or after he had to cancel his show due to an "emergency drive" that kept him out of the house until past three in the morning.
If you're not fully aware, here is my writeup on this person:
https://kiwifarms.net/threads/nicholas-robert-rekieta-rekieta-law-nickrekieta.53871/post-16998018
1. She is a sex worker
2. She has an OnlyFans
3. She is a verified eros.com escort
4. She is based in Minneapolis, local to Balldo
5. They follow each other on Instagram
Or this for example, right before Sober January Nick seemed to be edging closer to openly admitting seeing prostitutes, though he wasn't quite there yet, only admitting to collecting their numbers.
Nick Rekieta drunkenly discussing the fact that he has so many phone numbers from strippers who offer "escort services":
"Dude, it's so fucking funny. Well, that's why I have all their numbers. [...] It's hilarious to me. Like, I love it. It's great."
I’ve been watching some of the Kay streams and the “18 years of marriage” one struck me as really odd. Kayla is wearing a low cut halter top. It seemed really important to publicly display Kayla as sexy and desirable, which is weird for a stream about a happy marriage. I get where the cuck jokes come from because Nick seems to want to put her body on display. There’s a big difference in my mind between a husband being proud his wife is attractive and wants her to look nice in public, and a guy that wants her to wear tight clothes to show off her tits and ass. Any guy who wants other people to ogle his wife’s body is a suspect cuck for obvious reasons.
The important context to that stream is that they literally did it from Hedonism II. That's being broadcast from their room in the resort. When they talk about the funny™ hijinks they are getting up to on vacation, they're talking about Hedonism II.
Supposedly Uncivil Law Kurt is covering Nick's appellate hearing tonight. Will the sperg be unleashed?
Hopefully he goes in on Rekieta as hard and vigorously as he rubs cream into his back on stream.
