Did Temu do anything particularly bad? From what I heard it's just an Ali Baba competitor with the usual selling off your data.

That and it's a Chinese site, apparently. This video is the first time I've ever heard of it.

I also love all the seething in the comments on youtube. People unironically saying they "lost respect" for Jon for taking an easy payday to make fun of some shitty products, ignoring hes done this kinda shit already. The best are the people trying to show how morally superior they are and crying about cheap/slave labor and the data selling the site apparently does and uses. As if the devices and services they already use aren't doing the exact same shit. Thank God my smartphone, computer and game consoles along with their batteries aren't made with cheap/slave labor. Thank goodness services and sites like youtube, Netflix, Hulu etc totally aren't selling off my data to anyone who wants it.

I can sleep easy at night knowing all of my items and services are 100% morally just unlike EVIL TEMU.

Hey I already freely admitted that I would sell out too if the money was right. Doesn't mean the he didn't sell out though.

YouTube pays jack shit these days and constantly demonizes videos and shit if you say a no-no word. Jon could make a video sponsored by Apple talking about how good iPhones are and I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass so long as it’s funny and entertaining. “Selling out” as a concept these days is retarded, like no shit people want to make money. I’m not looking to YouTubers on advice on what toothbrush to buy or whatever, I’m just looking to be entertained. It’s not like he’s hiding who paid him to make the video or anything.

Pretty much, ever since sponsorships have become a thing, I just shrug, hope they made the ad funny at the very least and take it with a stride. Or is anybody going to tell me that those adverts for Raid Shadow Legends were totally authentic and not selling out at all? Man's got to eat (like dem kids) and I can perfectly respect that. Now if somebody is so much of a smoothbrained that once the video ended he thought to himself "wowzers, I really fucking want one of those lie detectors for free!" then... well that person was already dead anyway, so not like any real damage was done.

Hell, it would be great if Josh got a sponsorship, though I could see him do the advert bit about how fucking amazing NordVPN is only to 5 minutes later call it a piece of shit.

The main issue people have with Temu is that it's Wish 2.0, so peddling waste of resources that doesn't meet any quality standards as the business model. Not like Alibaba/Aliexpress where they're the Chinese Amazon where you can get shit ranging from that to proper products.

That, and it's another Asian e-commerce site that popped out of nowhere with an excessively aggressive marketing campaign. Aliexpress doesn't go out of it's way to advertise itself like Shopee did or Temu does right now, so there's nowhere near as much hate for Ali than there is for Temu.

So that's what's particularly bad about Temu. Garbage quality all across the range of products and marketing up your ass to make you go buy that shit.

This video made me realize just how much Saul Goodman is based on the reality of US society. TV lawyers are an actual phenomenon and Saul's commercials weren't exaggerated.
You learn something new every day I guess.

Well, he’s been in business since I was a kid and makes enough money to constantly have billboards and commercials on tv. So if anything, he can stick with it and still be well known enough.
