Ancient Rome (and many future LARPing inscribers who took after them) wrote their Latin inscriptions in such a way where the Latin letter "u" was often replaced by the letter "v" due to having similar sounds (the Latin the Romans spoke pronounced "v" as "w" - see here for a bit more of an autistic discussion about the lettering on inscriptions). Thus, any self-respecting chvd does this with English "u" since we wuz Romanz 'n shiet.Also can someone tell me why they replace U with V? Is it because U is slavic and not an Aryan invention or whatever the fuck?
