Yep, agreeing with you on this one. Poor thing.Looks like they're finally getting a sistermom
You know that poor girl is going to be the primary caretaker of her siblings and the main one cooking and cleaning before age 10.
They'll more likely go with Naomi, but now I think I'd prefer Nineveh.I hope the baby girl is named Nineveh. That would be fun, with its Biblical associations.
Not anymore. You're seeing it more with the suburban MLM Utah moms. That's usually a Melanin-American name.
I'm seconding Nevaeh.
The venn diagram of stripper and fundie names is a circleNevaeh is very popular with the churchies. The name is also popular with strippers.
That's never been the case. It's always been a white trash nameThat's usually a Melanin-American name.
I actually quite like Nineveh for a girl. It's historically interesting, unique without being super obnoxious, and it lends itself well to a nickname. They'll more likely go with Naomi, but now I think I'd prefer Nineveh.
What about it?

So far, Nurthan have chosen sort of classic-with-a-twist names, the kind that you don't hear very often but are perfectly respectable and will be suitable for an adult.
It will be interesting (to some of us, anyway) to find out whether they choose the same type of decidedly untrendy name for a girl. If you look at a recent list of most popular baby names, it's pretty clear that people are more willing to be "creative" when naming daughters. I will not be surprised if Nurthan go with something jejune and saccharine for a girl but continue the strong respectable thing for boys.
Other N name possibilities:
Noa
Nora
Nina
Natalie/Natalia
What about it?
Bro.
Look I understand a fanon for the church fundies but the rodriguez' are nobodys likely without super great standing in half their community.
Are you really gonna sit here and tell me a recent, up to date article on stuff even I didn't read in the thread, isn't a little surprising?
Yeah, I guess I am. That wiki has been around for a long time and there's very little in it that's not been discussed elsewhere at some point.Bro.

It's a name of Semitic origin. It means "fire" or "light". I think it's more commonly given to boys and spelled "Nuri" or "Nouri".I think it's just a lower-class/uneducated parents name, I've known white and black Nevaehs.
Speaking of, does know the genesis of Nurie's name? If you Google it she's the top hit. It seems out of place given that the rest of the kids have pretty traditional names. Only Janessa (Jane + Vanessa) has a similarly modern name, but it isn't totally unique.
Oh lol that's supposed to be a form of Nour? Wouldn't expect Jilly to go with a filthy Egyptian name for her golden child. It's a name of Semitic origin. It means "fire" or "light". I think it's more commonly given to boys and spelled "Nuri" or "Nouri".
Okay? Who cares? I don't get the excitement.
Just cause they don't have a TLC show doesn't mean they aren't popular in the fundie snark community. On the subreddit, Jill's face is plastered as the icon. People have been documenting and snarking on Jill before the creation of this thread.Bro.

I suppose I thought it was interesting about where Nurie went to preach, I don't think I knew she traveled. Maybe it was in here, but I hadn't seen it.Yeah, I guess I am. That wiki has been around for a long time and there's very little in it that's not been discussed elsewhere at some point.
What did you think was surprising about it? I don't know what their standing in the community has to do with this, either.
