In Nick’s case it’s obviously a reason he need Rx speed. I think his doctor tries to get him to take modafinial, but that just irritated him but he has to put up with it to keep getting the good stuff. It also gives him a non-amphetamine drug to mention taking for his “narcolepsy”

It's also super easy to get a script for Adderall. I used to be prescribed it as a child, because they were just handing the prescription out to parents, but even though I stopped taking it when I was 13, the first time I saw a therapist in my adulthood, he tried to re-prescribe it to me the moment he knew I used to be on it. Maybe this belongs in the Comicsgate thread, but I was subscribed to all those guys at one point in the late 2010s/early 2020s. When Disney's Star Wars trilogy was coming out and the aftermath of it, it actually felt almost personal what they were doing to the franchise, and I was all spergy and angry about it, so naturally channels that talked about this over and over again were perfect. Now I feel just apathy towards Disney and Lucasfilm at this point, so all those Fandom Menace videos really don't do anything for me anymore.
