The whole Voter I.D. issue in the USA is just like abortion: no matter how simple you make it, what safeguards and schemes you come up with, what compromises and trade offs you offer, it will never be good enough and they will always create another ludicrous edge case to explain why it isn't enough and you need total and complete lack of any limitations. The purpose of AI art or AI video like Sora is not to produce pretty pictures or video, the output of images and videos are proofs of the AI's ability to accurately recognize the subject matter, the AI art angle is just a byproduct.

Hit and a miss there, The AI can't recognize shit. It relies on massive amounts of training data tagged by humans to get where it got, and there's genuinely nothing in the current structure of things that can help it smartly identify and self tag. All these models do is turn this:

By using tagging data to figure how a given tag 'looks' when reduced to static, to turn randomly generated static into something new. This is why if you've ever run a local Stable Diffusion job, and interrupted generation, you'll see a colored nightmare smear - It was halfway to reconstructing something based on trained assumptions. Generative models have no way to effectively do the reversal without accurate tagging done by humans - Even using computer vision systems tells you there is a person and a kettle, but not whether its on the ground, a table, their hand, wearing it as a hat, etc. Trying to work backwards automatically will just make the model reinforce its own flaws, and would rapidly get worse, not better, and quite potentially poison its own data sets.

I'm willing to entertain the idea that they want to automagically mass censor the internet, but Generative Image Models are not the tool that's going to do it for them. At best, it can censor via exclusion, like googles black supremacist models.

There is also the fact that their own hubris is thankfully helping us in this case, in that they believe their own propaganda about the state of A.I. and don't understand what the fuck they are playing with. The fact they even call this shit A.I. is a good show of how moronic they are, they don't understand that these programs have absolutely no artificial intelligence and at point are actually dumber than some 1990s video game NPCs because they are large language models meant to do one thing only with massive stacks of data and info to pull from, and not think on the fly using inputs like NPCs would.

I think the issue is very simple. Do you think voting is important? You do? Great, RealID's are $10-80 (averaging 50) depending on the state. If you can't spend this much for a 3-8 year id card (and later mere $15 to renew it), then are you really that interested in voting? And you get more than just voting from RealId. You can't convince me that you can't scrounge up $50 bucks once. If you can't, you have bigger problems than voting

Saying that she isn't held to the pledge to endorse the nominee and that the RNC has been taken over by Trump, while denying that she should be considering it at all. Could she be dragging out the primary campaign to test the waters and gain publicity?

A dangerous move it would be, thankfully, she's no Teddy and I doubt they'd be enough of a split to drain Trump's voter base, especially if her voters are covert Dems trying to use her to block Trump.

the further back you go in time the more connected they were on a day-to-day level and they certainly did give a fuck about the peasants under their banner.

to be fair a big reason for that is how many people would be under them, its a lot easier to give a fuck and keep track of 2k people vs half a million. a person being born would be notable enough for you to know about it. even up to about 30k people, thats roughly a bit less than a new birth every day, notable enough to comment on or worry about the health of the person and the child.
