ICYMI Sean (Potentially Criminal) is currently covering the Tomlinson lolsuit on stream.
Rackets COULD be doing this and raking in the big buckerinos, but he is too busy using the Balldo and staying hungover. And if this were two years ago he would be.
theres a lot of lolsuit content that he could have done over the last few years
greer vs american idol
greer vs null
greer vs null: the appeal
greer vs null: post appeal rerun
greer vs null: supreme court edition
tomlinson vs milwaukee
tomlinson vs nadolsky

He is implying that Rippaverse is no better than Marvel Comics. A position also adopted, and likely originating from, EVS's camp. It is meant to associate Eric July with all that is bad for comic books. To cast him as the big bad.
The funnier part of this is that Nicky isn't entirely incorrect, however a reading one could do looking at the industry as a whole is that Rippaverse is indeed very similar to Marvel/DC.

Unfortunately for Nicky it's not similar to their modern iterations but the silver age ones, the golden age of comics ended because of comic audiences being sucked out of the medium (TV shows) and self censorship (quite possibly with good intentions back then, not so now I'd argue), it took both DC editors doing a ballsy shakeup and then Marvel, who back then was utterly irrelevant and only published thrillers and horror stories, dumping all of it to start doing superhero stories that might be slightly more relatable to the common reader and had more complex character driven stories (consider the context here, this was during the late 50s) to prevent the industry imploding on itself.

The self censorship bit is quite interesting in on itself because it came in the form of the CCA (comics code authority) and lasted quite a while (as late as the early 2000s for some publishers), funnily enough what started at the time as a way to avoid a moral panic and possible government regulation ended up being indirectly enforced by advertisers as they looked at adherence to the CCA for reassurance that putting their ads on display was safe (see: modern retardation with internet vs Internet or how I learned to hate advertisers)

Now back to my main point, while I would not consider the Rippaverse to be American comic trailblazers like Stan Lee and Jack Kirby were, one can draw quite a few parallels: you have an industry that's limping along because it chose to ignore and think little of their readers, the people who chose to tackle comic books in a way that's not insulting to whoever picks them up (be it for characters and 'complex', at the time, stories or to actually be a fun read nowadays) and these same people finding quite a lot of success because of it.

tl;dr Nicky is so retarded that he doesn't realize that to anyone who has any knowledge of the history of American Comic books saying EJ is literally Marvel could be construed as a glowing endorsement. Also fuck advertisers.

I've been thinking about how to improve Rekietas' content, and make sure all of us tune in to watch it. He doesn't want to do trials, well, how about a weekly segment, sth he wouldn't have to dedicate so much time and effort to talk through?

How about....FACT CHECKING FRIDAYS?

Nick, I prepared some drafts to help you out with first few episodes, you're very welcome.

I forgot he had narcolepsy.
I knew it was stims lol, I'm like a retard Sherlock Holmes.

Narcolepsy is the male version of fibromyalgia. A bullshit excuse to be a worthless and lazy loser in a way that can't be disproven. It's also the easy route to prescriptions you can't normally get. You just complain enough and doctors will eventually throw whatever diagnosis/drugs you want and you have a "get out of everything free" card.

Same way a POS I know is collecting "100% disability" after bailing early on the military. Just shop around and you'll find a doctor willing to aid your fraud. Your tax dollars at work.

press x to doubt. So little of Nick's viewership knows about these people. These topics are too niche and don't drive superchats outside the perfect storm Nick had.
Nick made his career pre Depp through suits like this. Not many people outside of niche circles knew who Maddox or Mignota were.

Make it interesting and funny enough, and they’ll follow the weirdo lawsuit from a faggot like Fatrick.

That would require taking a break from sperging about Nicks favorite topic: Himself, so that’s a problem.

As his reputation has gone down the toilet, he’d have a hard time getting interesting guests on though. His alcoholism is also markedly worse, so where as old Nick could keep the bottle somewhat in check, there’s a zero chance that he wouldn’t get hammered covering a suit today and turn the entire stream into one of his boozerambles.

Nick may actually be right in refusing to cover trials. It’s too late for that shit.

Fucking phenomenal. Is that Joshua Graham doing the narration?
@elb could confirm, but she credits Bernie Garcon in the credits. He's the guy doing the AI Rackets vids that pop up on here on occasion, so I'm going to assume it's AI narrated with a similar voice model.

It can't be Nick Rekieta. That man relied heavily on Kiwi farms threads for his content back in the day. So much so that he'd have null on his show for interviews.

Nick isn't the kind of guy who expects a different standard to be applied to him to the one that he applies to other people, surely? He's a fine, upstanding traditional Christian lawyer. He'd be like, "do onto others as you would have them do onto you." Given how comfortable he was with using Kiwifarms to mock others in respect of their behaviour, he'd have no problem with the it mocking *his* behaviour when it becomes mockworthy.

I know this is true. Rekieta has said so himself a million times. EVS must be talking about some other lolcow. Is he friends with Daniel Larson or Keffals? Bossman Jack or Patrick Tomlinson?

IIRC I think he said the one from Hurst was some painting a woman dancing. I don't know why I think that, but I could've swore I remember him talking about it.

No, that is Waugh. I am 98% sure.

Nick does not have Farmers to spoonfeed that lore to him on it, he does not actually want to do research, and the topic is only interesting to a niche of people mostly clustered here and on adjacent type websites.

He has yet to release even that, despite the written version being done in his head for months.

Well, he has promised a lot of exciting changes coming to his streams in the near future. Maybe the Balldo review is his Coyote vs Acme, and by God he’s going to release it whatever those Scandi prude suits at Rumble say.

My point about Jim showing up to a stream of 10,000 viewers... Rackets maybe could have transitioned to that right after Depp, but more likely, he would have needed a year or two of rock star numbers to fade out. Now, he barely gets Mersh numbers, and his chat is less engaged than people with 1/20th his audience. Without a schedule, he's going to fade into irrelevance. Well, fade if he's lucky- he's much more likely to "flame" out.

No, this would have never been Nick.
People liked Jim’s personality, they liked his narration style, and they thought he was funny. Jim was very much the drive to his content, sort of like what Nick wanted but could never achieve

Balldo was always the weakest part of his content. I watched him for the cases, but thought I liked him as well, however looking back at it, it was mostly the panel and things like his retarded toasts made me stop watching him long before I began to dislike him specifically. Jim is still funny to this day even if he hasn't hit the same highs as his Internet Insanity days.

Therein lies the rub, watching Nick attempt a stand-up routine made this painfully clear. Nick wanted to be the witty charismatic personality giving hot takes on various subjects. Nick wanted to have The Nick Show, like The Dick Show, which I think just shows his bad taste in comedy.

Nick is the obnoxious guy at a bar who talks endlessly and thinks he’s x100 smarter and funnier than everyone else. Simply not being quiet and listening to him wax philosophically or laughing at his jokes makes him seethe or start an argument. He wanted to take the obnoxious drunk that won’t stfu act to an audience online, not talk about lawsuits.

I sort of think his legal career followed a similar path to his streaming. Nick hated practicing law and working, but liked the boozy hours spent in bars or with buddies bullshitting. Except he actually had some success streaming, unlike practicing law.

Correct. I used to spoon-feed him quite a lot of content concerning KV during Weebwars. I'm sure others did as well.

Null spoon fed him stuff on DSP and Keffals.

Probably some other examples I'm not thinking of ATM.

He really lost a great resource when he started to go degen, and then later told everybody here to get fucked. At least as far as covering Internet centric drama.

Somewhat ironically, when Nick starts whinging about how he 'just can't' cover anymore trial content, he's not wrong, just not for the reason he thinks.

While our bodies are incredible at healing damage, there's only so much punishment our organs can take before we just outright fuck them, brain included. I've personally had the 'pleasure' of seeing quite a few lads over the years literally retardify themselves by doing one too many lines of MD or ket. Even if Balldo were to clean up his act and detox, depending on how much damage has been caused by the years of binge drinking and the more recent suspected amphetamine use, there's a good chance he might not have the cognitive ability to do anything more complicated than a really slow one-to-one interview, and even that might be a stretch.

Sure, I could be wrong, assuming he stops being a mopey faggot and puts the bottle and pills down, he might well make a full recovery. I've seen it happen with my own eyes, with people who've gone through far longer addiction battles and on far heavier shit than what Nick's taking, and who've come out at the other end almost unscathed. But I've also never actually seen anyone degrade, both mentally and physically, quite as quickly as I have with Nick.

He genuinely looks worse after two years or so of hard drinking and being on the gear than people I know personally that were on it for almost a decade. And if that's at all indicative of the damage he's done to his body, I don't think his long term health prospects are looking good for him, regardless of what he does now.

Just a speculation, but I think the guys you're aware of, were maybe just broken by life, depressed, had physical predisposition to become addicted, maybe they literally came from broken homes and started drinking as children, or maybe they never had anyone to help or believe in them.

But Rekieta's main issue appears to be what he proudly admitted to many times - he's a narcissist. He cannot self-reflect, and he is deeply insecure, on a level a normal person cannot comprehend.
Most people go through life seeking happiness, peace, love, comfort. Rekieta seeks to protect his ego at all costs, he is merely a vessel for it. There is nothing more to him, he will never have an epiphany, he will never grow. Narcissists cannot be helped, because they will never EVER admit they're weak and wrong and need help. They're defective individuals.
Whether it's AA or any other strategy, the first step is always to destroy your defective ego and admit that you've been wrong. He will never be able to do that.

even one step is too far.jpg
