The KEY thing ESG and DEI (so the essence of SBI) relies on, is a sort of bait and switch. They want you to buy a game, and get force-fed the ESG media shit once you are restrained by the sunk cost fallacy.
The real thing that scares them about the curator, is this curator potentially STOPS people from getting baited into buying shit like saints row reboot, and realizing its absolute shit after the refund period (or at least not immediately jumping to refund it so they keep the money)
This is why people talk about ESG so much, but DARE NOT put it on the box, they use it like poisoned rat treats. They don't WANT you to know its inside until you taste it, because if you knew, you would never bite.
If you wanted to kill ESG shit as effectively as a sawn off to the head, ALL YOU WOULD NEED, is a law to say a product which is ESG compliant MUST say so on product page / packaging with a recognizable logo. This would kill this shit off more effectively than anything.

How many of the games they've worked on are regarded as any kind of success. Sure, some of them may have sold millions of copies, but they were likely considered disappointments or lost the studio money because they cost more to make than they earned.
The funny thing is that the steam group wasn't even necessary because the end results will speak for themselves, and they're shit. Given time even the lowliest of slop eaters will develop some pattern recognition. The companies hiring these idiots won't die overnight, but they'll die in time.
They had journalism degrees and the passionate people who used to hold those positions didn't. No one working in games media these days wants to be there. They're the failures who in college fancied themselves as Joseph Pulitzer or Walter Winchell, but not even the shit rags Buzzfeed, HuffPo, et al. would hire them. Gaming publications were getting swallowed up by larger media conglomerates with HR departments that looked for a college diploma and they got this batch of picked-over weasels. The big conglomerates didn't care and they probably thought "How much could someone possibly fuck up writing about video games?" so it'll be fine.
But it doesn't matter. How much do these publications really matter any more? They hired useless people and have themselves become useless. How many of these companies aren't dying or being propped up by infusions from investors or other, larger, companies buying them up only for the cancer to spread and the cycle to repeat?

Its honestly the most frustrating things with talking about video games anymore. It was like when the GTA 6 trailer dropped and like 3/4ths of everyone posting in that thread were like "Niggers? In my Miami? Woke trash."
Meanwhile it takes place in fucking Florida and everyone, white, black, or otherwise within a thousand miles comes here for vacation in the summer. Seeing retarded people doing retarded things is just how Florida works and a large number of them, are in fact black.
Its kind of the larger problem with the way terms get used online though. GTA 6 having a playable female protagonist isn't necessarily a problem or even indication of wokeness. Boosting her or other minorities up at the expense of white characters, making her boyfriend a useless, stupid cuck, making analogies to real life social issues but only exploring it from a leftist point of view is what makes a game woke.
And while I'm on this soapbox, with the exception of when Atreus was in Jotenheim, Ragnarok was a pretty fucking good game and the issue with Jotenheim wasn't the black giant girl he was running around with, it was the fact his gameplay was really lackluster compared to Kraetos's.

kratos became a pussy in the first game, not ragnarok. far less people called the first nu-gow woke. also I mentioned it elsewhere, but lot of fathers become pussies for some reason at some point (don't ask me why, I don't understand it either).
odin being a fat loser is just shit writing again of the "subverted expectation" kind. angrboda in the mythos isn't some random-ass human either, you could argue she just wanted loki's D knowing he's into some exotic pussy or someshit. or the argument the writers probably went with "there's no argument she couldn't be a nigger" - she could be asian, no one would call it woke (not that the writers would turn her into an honorary aryan, but still).
point is a lot can be explained by writing. doesn't make it good, but doesn't necessarily make it "woke" either.
ffs lot of people can't define what "woke" even is, same way leftards have zero clue about "fascism". for a lot it just became this mythological thing to rail against. I can pretty much guarantee you with actually good writing far less people would have an issue with niggers/women/whatever in their media (see ripley, blade, etc.).
