A resulting death could then loop in the site and the users of it as an accessory in some form of court case.
Right now in the US of A there isn't a law about calling someone fat and stating how you won't have sex with them with others and not including fat sexless person in the conversation. In what state statutes I've read the harassment predicate acts need more than 1 item and something I'll call physical. Just keeping the fat/sex statements on a 3rd party site doesn't rise to the level of the crime of harassment.
But if you are calling Patrick fat to his account on twitter and then you show up at a local bar where your actions are calling him into disrepute with dolls? A brotherman might catch a charge on that.

From there Patrick would have to get some kind of LEO to charge the sender. It is not a slam dunk in a very busy county like Milwaukee so no LEO/DA is gonna look at their caseload and the way Patrick conducts himself and say "lets try the sender of that SMS!". But Patrick continuing to respond doesn't help the DA make a case.

And there is a difference between what the statutes state is harassment and what Patrick, Jackie and Shane think is harassment.
A through line with those 3 is a history of being an asshole to others on the Internet. All 3 have gotten pushback. All 3 have had accounts deleted for TOS with TOS being a way for a firm to deal with assholes.

It makes a DA not willing to charge anyone. Along with Patrick not changing his number. One has to show a level of attempting to disengage and Patrick fails at that.
If you appear to be a "normal" person and you point out Patrick's tupidity you just get a block. Or you get the Leslie treatment of being called mentally ill if you are an important normal person who keeps pointing out Patrick's failings. A benefit of blocking a 'normie' is they then can't report your posts as spam or other TOS and get your account suspended.
VS what Patrick does to the ones who seem to be trying to get a rise outta Patrick where Patrick violated Wisconsin statute and calls them a criminal. Does Patrick commit the crime with the hope the fake name then has to be "unmasked" or does he understand that an element of the call someone a criminal crime needs the claim of the reputation damage and that is not met with the person lacking harm with a fake name? Who knows.
What that DOES do is make a DA decide to pass on charging anyone.
Patrick is not some innocent who for no reason is getting harassed. Patrick is an abusive asshole who wants to "win" his Internet arguments and has people challenge his self view. Jackie Singh and Shane Nokes are the same way and so the 2 of those asshats have fallen behind Patrick hoping Patrick can show a way for them to win in their future asshole efforts on the Internet.
