I agree with this post. It seems a little ridiculous to occasionally check your "Reactions received" every 20 minutes to see if people reacted to posts of yours. On the other hand it means that people can now freely give and (or ) without needing to be a True & Honest Fan.

I autistically admit i enjoyed the funny number because it was like a treat everytime I opened the site but it probably would have been even higher if I had posted more freely like i shouldve so it being gone is probably good

If this change was a consequence of DM spamming by the occasional faggot, I REALLY think it was overdone.

Personally I had turned off notifications after the former method (so and so +19 others have rated your post MATI or whatever) went away and just checked reactions on my profile. I check it daily, it's not that hard.

The choice was always there for anyone who takes 30 seconds to learn about their options, and taking away all rating scores because of this is seriously a case of killing a bug with a tactical nuke imo.

Echoing what others have said, I liked having the feature to check other people's ratings even if it encouraged engagement-baiting somewhat. It's neat to know how much a particular user fits into the site's community.

Additionally, I don't really get the point of having a rating score altogether if you're the only one seeing it.

The stickers were a better way of knowing that some activity was happening in a thread more than someone quoting you in a thread, imo.

At least now I have no reason not to be an aggressive a-hole to people (within the limits of the rules of the site), neg ratings no longer have power over me.
