Could you direct me to a specific channel? I'm not being facetious and I don't doubt it happens, but I can't help but think there is something a bit more nuanced to it than, "Oh, you said the magic words and took it back--hurka durka time to die." At least in my estimation, there is a difference between someone who reverted, was serious about for a time and stopped...and whatever the fuck Chantal is doing.
But I am, of course, willing to be proven wrong. Plus, that sounds like it would be compelling listening.
You could start with Apostate Prophet on Youtube, he sometimes has ex-Muslims on panel, some cover their faces with masks because they don't want to be recognized out of fear (and yes, they usually live in the West). Years ago he posted many videos about Islam, including one about the honor killing of his aunt in Germany on the street in broad daylight. Because she was separated from her husband and wanted to live with more freedom than her conservative family. He also debates Muslim apologists sometimes and they told him more than once that they would be happy to kill him as soon as there is Sharia law. If you watch his streams, he mentions death threats that he gets all the time, they even threaten his wife. And he is from Turkey (grew up in Germany) and has an arrest warrant in Turkey, so can't go there, I just can't remember the exact reason is for the warrant but I think there is a video about that too.
To the other person that posted the screenshot about how you can leave Islam in Kuwait, as you can see there are still consequences though. And it's not so much about the laws of the countries alone, Islam has its own laws and some follow them and don't recognize the laws of the country. That's why you have honor killings in the West (see above) and they also got Salman Rushdie in New York and not somewhere in the Middle East. It's a lot more complicated than just looking up the law in a country. I have posted this before, if you kill your wife in Kuwait, you either get a fine or a few years in prison. That's how "liberal" certain laws are in Kuwait.
I didn't really watch Chantal in the last couple of days, have to catch up, but think I didn't miss much. I knew she wouldn't go back to Canada, not only because it's too expensive but it was obvious that she was manipulating Salah, whatever it was that she wanted out of him, she got it right away. She complained so much that she needs support and can get it from her family in Canada, that was all for Salah.
