Iirc, he was deathly allergic to cats. His BPD girlfriend picked up a stray cat and would not get rid of it. He started getting some sort of allergy shots to help deal (probably steroids of some sort). It did not fix the allergy in the end so he died from a severe allergic reaction.

It was reportedly an allergen test specifically for Juniper, but there is a LOT of people who think his cat allergy was also part of what happened (his gf got a cat and he was known to be allergic).

It was definitely the cat. The cat allergy had hospitalized him multiple times before. His doctor told him to stop being around the cat or "You will actually die". But his insane GF kept it around despite Monty and everyone around him begging her to get rid of it or Monty to move out.

Neither happened. He tried all sorts of steroids and anti-allergy treatments,but nothing worked. He eventually went into anaphylaxis shock and died. The circumstances of it haven't been fully disclosed

Allegedly, his crazy GF had a bunch of his RWBY stuff (Sketchbooks, notes, ect) and hard drives with a lot of his animation work on them. She demanded that they both pay her off and squash any rumors that she had any responsibility for his death in return for them.

So they cooked up various stories about "Medical procedures causing reactions" and such, started calling the girlfriend his "Wife" (They never married) and paid her $250,000 "to help her deal with the loss"

Since we're all sharing, my favorite RT thing is how Gen:Lock season 2 has a super serious episode where Maisie William's bunny gamer girl commits suicide for a cult that her family also died for, because the hopelessness fully takes hold of her. She dies. Consumed and torn apart by nanobots. It fades to black with somber music and then puts the suicide hotline on screen with a message about how there's always help. It's play 100% serious

Then she comes back to life immediately the next episode as an even more powerful nanobot version of herself lol. Simply because she happened to have a Genlock compatible mind lmao. So her family and everyone are still dead but she and the genlock team get immunity. Amazing. It's the funniest thing. She unironically, full-heartedly committed suicide and got denied. She doesn't seem bothered by it at all

Especially since in the first season she arguably has the most character growth and progression. The first season is also just more happy Go Lucky mech mech shtuff in general.

RT, literally killing yourself to (maybe) fully achieve your true super self is kind of a fucked message to throw in there. How you thought that was the play is beyond me but it ended up being far more unintentionally entertaining than anything else genlock 2 had to offer.

Nothing will top that suicide prevention message fading in. Amazing that made it through.

Maybe don't hire writers that think trauma dumping is human bonding. Maybe also don't hire your fans to write your shit.

Anyway, where do you guys think the RT properties are going to end up? Feel like RVB goes to Microsoft since its so entwined with Halo. Maybe the Japs pick up RWBY? Though I saw on twitter that Dillon Goo and his studio are interested in RWBY. Which is interesting because not only did Dillion used to be a fight choreography for RRwby, Shane Newell works under Dillion too. Montys OG apprentice or so Ive heard.

I hate to be mean (on Kiwifarms of all places), but RWBY isn't so special or unique that anyone would want to go out of their way to acquire it. Even putting aside the fact that it's no longer popular enough to justify the effort, the show itself is just a basic shonen anime. Japanese studios certainly aren't so starving for choice that they would look overseas for new IP.

As far as Western studios go, it's not any different for them. Making another RWBY would be easy:
-Take a bunch of anime that was shown on Toonami or Adult Swim.
-Put them on a cork board.
-Blindfold yourself and throw three darts.
-Watch some episodes from whatever they landed on.
-Don't hire (or date) liberal women.

RWBY had some good character designs and the fight scenes were pretty impressive, but that's really all it had going for it. I think it's biggest selling point is that it was an anime-style show made by non-Japanese anime fans, and even that isn't a novelty anymore these days. Rooster Teeth did have something going with RWBY when it came out, but a combination of bad luck and massive incompetence resulted in them squandering it. It's way too late to to salvage it now.

I think the anti-inflammatory he took likely had a reaction to the anesthesia they gave him when he went in to get a procedure to treat his allergies to cats. He didn’t tell them he took a strong anti-inflammatory and it caused an adverse reaction when it reacted with whatever an anesthetic they used.

The surgery or procedure was literally to try to get him to treat his allergy and his GF wouldn’t get rid of the cat for a few days so he could get everything out of his system so she could keep her cat.

I'm glad it's over but I had so many good memories tied up in RT and AH that I'm honestly choked up at it going away.

In middle school, a friend introduced me to rvb. We would play halo and watch rvb for hours. We quoted it to eachother all the time, it was good times

In high-school I found the rt podcast (the first video podcast before they had a set) and the shorts. Then they started LetsPlay, brought in Ray, Michael and Gavin. My friends and I would watch it all the time.

After high-school, I dated a girl for a few years and I got her into letsplay, this was after Ray left but it was still pretty decent. After work or uni classes we would get in bed at my place and watch the latest minecraft let's play. It was cozy and we bonded over our love for the boys (and her hatred of Gavins girlfriend)

I don't know any of the people from middle school or high school anymore. That girl and I broke up a few years ago and she moved to the other side of the country. I haven't watched letsplay since before we broke up. But damn man. RT has been with me for most of my life and I'm kind of heartbroken that it died the way it did.

I think I mentioned somewhere above, but they shared a room in Japan and went to a beach together there. It’s pretty likely that Gavin is a cuck.

Achievement Hunter in general had three cucks (Gavin, Geoff, and Jack) and two chubby chasers/ feeders (Michael and Ray but with Ray it’s cultural). The later additions like Jeremy are fucking mental and I think @Positron or someone documented him suffering mental breakdowns from his cat running away and might be a fag.
