You should write whichever jailschool summer camp you broke out of a thank you note for taking the virginity you were unable to give away. Please tell me how to make a structured environment for you so you'll never make retarded posts mischaracterizing well documented torture as negative incentives and discontinue being a faggot derailing a thread because you were spanked too much.

Isn't that the hellhole that's infamous for "shock therapy" on autistics? You ever heard of the Judge Rotenberg Center?
That one is easy. The Puritans were a cult. So our traditions of “religious freedom” were designed to foment cults. What the hell is it with this country and cults?
Wasn't the reason they were persecuted in England was because they were too "no fun allowed" to the average English then? The Puritans were a cult.
Yes, it's named after a judge that allowed them to continue operating. They are also condemned by the UN for torture. A fucking SCHOOL condemned by the UN.What the hell is it with this country and cults?

Yes. The Crown wanted the next Cromwell or Guy Fawkes to fuck off to the colonies.Wasn't the reason they were persecuted in England was because they were too "no fun allowed" to the average English then?

I should add this to the American hate thread. These parasites are not content with spreading degeneracy in their own country - no! they must invade other states and corrupt foreign children!
- Costa Rica - Raided by authorities on May 22, 2003, after an investigation into child abuse. The property was later purchased by a company looking to turn it into a resort, but as of 2022 the only building remaining onsite is the former OP (solitary isolation) building.
- Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico - Investigated and shut down by the Mexican government after allegations of abuse; raided by Mexican authorities on September 10, 2004;[13] as of 2022 it was reverted to its original status as a motel run by a local family.[14]
- Tecate, Baja California, Mexico - Investigated and shut down by the Mexican government after allegations of abuse;[14] its current status is unknown, but some of the buildings remain.
- Costa Rica - Closed in March 2011.[17] Mentor was housed in the former Hotel Carara near Tárcoles and was headed by Robert Walter Lichfield. There were approximately 20 U.S. teenagers enrolled at the time of closure. It was closed by Costa Rican child welfare authorities on March 18, 2011, following complaints of abuse by parents of enrollees. At the time of closure, it was reported that the program had not been licensed by Costa Rican authorities. Officials who visited the facility reported that "physical, psychological and verbal mistreatment" were "apparent".[18] The property has since been abandoned.
- Brno, Czech Republic - Opened in 1998 and closed later that year when Czech police arrested its managers (Glenda and Steven Roach, married former police officers from Salt Lake City who would later go on to open Sunrise Beach in Mexico) and charged them with child torture.[21][22] After the Roaches' arrest and deportation the facility reverted to being a hotel.
- Western Samoa - Shut down by Samoan authorities because an investigation determined credible allegations of abuse[23] After its closure it reopened under the same name as a luxury resort for weddings, but it was later destroyed by a storm. The property is currently abandoned.
- Cancún, Mexico - Opened by Glenda and Steven Roach after they were deported from the Czech Republic, the facility was raided and closed by Mexican authorities in 1996 over abuse; it currently operates as a hotel.[28]
- Treasure Beach, Jamaica - Subject of several documentaries detailing severe abuse; closed in January 2009. The property currently serves the Jamaican Police as a training center after it was briefly used as a COVID quarantine center for people entering the country from abroad.[31]
I think I can shed some light on this. In my experience this is a very boomer mindset. I was raised by and around a lot of boomers and they all thought this way. Basically, if you want your kids to act better or do better in school just beat the fuck out of em and if it doesn't work you're not beating em hard enough. Combine this with boomers not wanting to parent their kids and you have a recipe for disaster. I think in their mind what their kids went through wasn't that bad. They're overexaggerating what happened and in the long term it was good for them. They can't face the fact they paid tens of thousands of dollars to have their kids tortured and broken.I don't know where the meme of "hard/tough/character building/blah blah blah" came from and how it lingers but it's bullshit.
When I was in high school, I was told by the school counselor not to get involved when another kid said her dad beats her. I was absolutely floored.Part of the process in uncovering great injustices of the world is frustration or even rage. Usually comes on with a whirlwind of other emotions.
"How can they get away with this?!?"
"Why is no one doing anything about it???"
"Why does no one seem to care when I tell them!?"
And so on. While wishing for these sorts of heinous acts to cease is perfectly fine and well, I would caution against allowing that desire to turn into contempt towards ones fellows for their perceived "apathy" or "indifference" to a cause. Being active in one's own life and ensuring any children (whether theirs, a friend's or family member's, pupils, etc) are afforded measured safety and space to grow is already doing a great service to the world. That is the power each individual holds in this situation, and I would caution against underestimating it.

Well this thread and the documentary completely ruined my day. Thank you for bringing it to light. I'm not sure I'd have seen it otherwise. I've heard stories of these places for years but I had no idea they were still operating in the numbers they are. Holy shit the people who own and operate these facilities are bug fuck evil. Parents that send their kids to these hell holes aren't much better.

I do think that struggles are good for kids as it helps them become mentally strong and resilient. But there is a world of difference between struggling and learning to get through hardships and being fucking mentally and physically tortured for years a time. I can't blame that girl for not wanting to talk to her dad. If I sent my kid off somewhere only to find out they weren't allowed to contact me in anyway except maybe a phone call once a month I'd be pulling my kid out so fucking fast.
If there are those outright concentration camp cults, there are surely many more hellish -- or just crappy or somewhat scammy -- youth and young adult programs in the USA.

Then again, it's the same school counselor that recommended my mother send me to fat camp, so maybe that's not really surprising. Neither him nor my homeroom advisor seemed to really give a shit about the whole thing. The latter person even wanted that diet book I got.
Fucking assholes...

I heard that local Native Americans were appalled by how violent Puritans were to children.Yes. The Crown wanted the next Cromwell or Guy Fawkes to fuck off to the colonies.
Which may have come from a Puritan mindset. In my experience this is a very boomer mindset.
In older issues of National Geographic from around the mid 20th century, one can see a lot of ads at the end for military schools. How many of those were abusive hellholes? They're all over!

It's always been kind of interesting to me how people have such different views, and they all wanna enforce their morals on you. The counselor had told me about seeing a parent being verbally abusive to their kid, but he said he didn't get involved because he wasn't their counselor, so it was none of his business. I think the philosophy was that you could end up making shit worse for them.Wow. I thought nothing would surprise me anymore.
Did you ever get your diet/fitness where you want it, at least, after all that shit?
