Such is internet bloodspots. Very nasty sides come out of people, but that's only because its funny to see somebody who's been fucking around finally find out

Harry is a colossal bitch and the more he gets humbled the better it is for the world. Whether Somerton is dead or not, this should be a harrowing lesson. HBomb should look in the mirror, realize he's a subpar specimen in his 30s who looks 50, and realize the pretentious psuedo-intellectual schtick is played out and sad.

I doubt Jim has anything that he hasn't already shown or can't easily google. Metokur Forums is going on 15 years ago now. Did you archive all your forum threads from back then? Would you still have the drives they were on if you had? Would they still spin up?

That all depends on Jim's foresight, did he think ahead that Metokur would be a detriment to all the people involved and decided to save as much as he could before it was deleted off the Internet?
 
Also its funny that when the video came out they were laughing at IH fans taking the video seriously and their stance then was "It was mainly about JS, not about your E-Daddy". Now theyre trying to retcon it into "We care about JS's mental health, look at IH the asshole who never acknowledged the drama".

I'm fairly certain Jim has talked about how Haberman did a pretty good job of scrubbing the site from the internet on a few occasions. I don't think he saved much of anything and I doubt there's anyone who has archives of anything that hasn't been seen before. If he did, he's never given any indication that was the case and he's probably said as much himself.

I decided to watch one of his videos once and the combination of cringe and boredom makes his content useless even as background noise.

If this was my legacy, I'd want to kill myself too.

This. I don't get why people are acting like James was just copy/pasting, he was actively rewriting other people's personal experiences as his own in some videos. Yeah, HBomb wrote an hours-long hit piece on the guy, but he was making literal thousands of dollars a month stealing from other people and then tried to frame it in a sympathetic light by saying "Well uh, I thought they'd listen to me more because I'm white!! I'm being progressive, you're cruel, I'm gonna kill myself!!"

James isn't some poor journalist/essayist/commentator who had his career stolen, he didn't have any actual merit in the field because he couldn't actually write anything, and his 'career' would've ended when people found out regardless if HBomb was the one to break the news. You learn to not plagiarize in fucking elementary school. Rip people off and you get a zero.

Hbomb's a faggot, but personally I think he's morally correct in calling that asshole out. If this event humbles Hbomb, then that's great, but if the dude just came out and said "I don't think I'm responsible for that guy killing himself, and I legitimately don't care", then I'd be fine. I wouldn't even go "but people accuse Kiwifarms of driving people to suicide!" because I also don't care about that, either.

Thanks redditor for absolving Kiwifarms of all responsibility for all of the "deaths" we caused and that it was right to document them for the lolcows they were.

Unfortunately it looks like a much clearer line between hbomberguy and Somerton's alleged suicide so hbomberguy is winning on the killcount leaderboard with 1 point, should it not be a ploy for sympathy.
