I think one thing we can all agree is that no matter how this goes, Null needs to take a chill pill and probably a decently long vacation, the lashing out and rage bans are a symptom of a bigger issue that even if he suddenly gives in and reverts all the changes, this is just gonna happen all over again.
I'm thinking more and more that the fact that these spergouts are more common these days is because of the two Mad at the Internet streams per week schedule, which was implemented before November 2023 I think. It is almost 2.5 hours for streaming and an additional 1 to 2 hours for preparing the stream, so that is 3.5-4.5 hours less of what work could have been done per week that Null wanted, hence why it is stressing him out and making him extremely stubborn.
Null did mention that he intends to go back to one stream a week and go on a hiatus from streaming, so I hoped once this is achieved, things will get more tamer and Null would be more easily convinced.
The woman hate thread thing is a mystery to me. Was he simping or some shit? I can't imagine going to defend women's comfort in here of all places. Especially when so many people here are against the "redditification" of the site. Hell if you want this to be like an old ass forum, doing the opposite and mocking people for using shit that doesnt matter to stand out should be ridiculed.
It's something I've been noticing ever since they moved all the tranny threads to BP (and the subforum was originally called "Gender Critical", btw). A lot of TERFs have migrated to this site since you get banned for criticizing trannies from basically anywhere else. They appreciate Null for "Creating a safe space for women" (I have actually seen somebody say this), and I do believe Null has gone through steps to accommodate them (hence why all the tranny threads are in BP, like I said).
I mean I assume the "not feeling safe' is attached to that.
From his experience, Null despises men more than women and he mentions why. When you have troons, especially the MtF kind, infiltrating everything and hearing not really fun stories involving gay men instead of lesbians, and connect it to some of the horrible stuff on the Internet, who could honestly blame him for distrusting male users on the site more than female users? A good portion of users of the Beauty Parlor were from the times of the CWCiki Forums, so in a sense, Null does feel some comradery with them as well. Add that to Null wanting to protect female users of the forum because there is no other forum for women, especially liberal women, TERFS, etc. to discuss troons and fat people because of how much troons control the Internet.
So when Lidl created the Man-Hate Thread, Null was pretty much in agreement with them since he believes that MtF troons and gay men are why men is worse than women. This is why the conception of a Woman Hate Thread never came right with Null, mostly because it came as a response to the Man Hate Thread's creation, so it was kinda a-loggy in a way. However, it doesn't help that some of the Kiwis in that thread are actually gay (
of which one recently outed himself as a cow because he was schizoposting that Lidl is Null's sock account), and plus
an oldfag who is openly a MtF tranny, so of course the users of that thread were of Null's ire. (I would also add the Woman Hate Thread were not just guys, but prominent female users of the site like Feline Supremacist and PaladinBoo, so it was never that much of an incel board.)
And what grinded Null's gears was that the Woman-Hate Thread were the biggest critics of the Beauty Parlor, a board that he is committed to protect for reasons stated above. The Woman-Hate Thread already cow-dropped several BP users of the forum: AR (who they found her dox because they found she used the same username on different sites) and Freya (who became PaladinBoo's a-log who negrates everything she says, even outside the Man-Hate Thread, and was discovered to be a gypsy mutt). And the biggest casualty of the Man-Hate Women-Hate wars?
On 3 November 2023, the Woman-Hate Thread managed to run Lidl off the site for a month because she couldn't really handle the toxicity of users calling her a man posing as a woman. Cosmos vibe eh? And on 11 November, Null
soon banned all conversation on the Beauty Parlor in the Woman-Hate Thread (and I assume vice-versa conversation on Woman-Hate Thread in Man-Hate Thread).
This is why Null never intended to have a understanding with the Woman-Hate Thread because the conception of the thread and what it does is extremely antithetical to what he wants for female Kiwis, and I believe Lidl leaving made Null bitter about the thread and its users. This is why we get the hypocritical stuff that Mango Cobra mentioned where he comes into the Woman-Hate Thread to spew his pro-women opinions,
tell people not to reply to him, and
gets Pikachu-faced when users of the thread do reply to him because
he posted his opinions in that thread, and hence we got Matt Damon and polonium banned in late November because they debated with Null on everything I just said. Null soon moved the Woman-Hate Thread from General Discussion to Mass Debates.
I really want to inform people of the whole situation, but at the same time, talking about this gives me the shudders because I hate antagonizing Null, especially after him having to deal so much in fighting how much of a stranglehold troons have on everything: schools, hospitals, etc. It's just tasteless drama that fragments the unity of the site and makes people bitter all around.
