I think the timing is what irks me the most. A group of autist in the thousands convinced that the forum is worth saving 200,000$ (and more) for, and the almost immediate reaction to strip the site of features because the owner doesn't want to deal with drama. It's just sad.

He definitely needs a fucking vacation that's for sure. Maybe getting huddled up in a country where he doesn't know anybody and doesn't speak the language is an additional factor, so fucking back to US might ironically be a net positive on his mental health and overall well-being.

It all goes back to the Catler drama. Null was done with DM fags and tried looking into ways to discourage mass DM's after everyone started making useless DM's to spite him or whatever the fuck. One of the points of feedback that he got was that people hurdled up in DM's because if they talked openly they'd get bad stickers and the number would go down. So he axed the sticker score because to him it didn't mattered and he wanted to stop another Catler DM from happening. He quickly figured out that people cared a lot about their stickers and the rest is history.

He wanted to solve one issue on the site and created a bigger one basically.

Correction: because neg-rating with stickers made certain users feel so "unsafe" they had to hide in ERP DM chains. But the people who don't like the change are the ones who should leave the site and go to Onion Farms, not the DMfags. Null is afraid the DMfags will all move to discord and do things out of his control, so he is catering to them specifically to keep them corralled here.

It was already a feature you could turn off, but if you were using sticker notifications to navigate you were using the site wrong and must be forcefully corrected back to the right way to use the site.

The big issue is this is a rash solution that was never going to work to a problem that will never be fixed that inconveniences over 70% of the site. Users have discussed this for 100 pages noting varied grievances and experiences, yet people pop in and use reductive language like "dopamine addicts" despite well-articulated, well-reasoned critique. People understandably get mad, and then retards are doing "call outs", "getting their licks in" and attempting public martyrdom to further piss him off.

It stopped being funny and has moved into becoming actively divisive. It's Josh's website, but nobody enjoys being inconvenienced with no upside other than the site administrator refusing to back down. The core of it is this doesn't solve what it was meant to solve and now more than ever, it's looking like spite is ruling decision making on the webzone.

If anything, a solution would be letting the spergs escalate it so that they get isolated out and banned if during that month all that they'll do is scream at Null over the sticker changes. They'll make Onion Farms accounts and continue screeching about Null over there, and only then the minor inconveniences might be reconsidered by Null.

I've said all of this this countless of times but the same accounts that do nothing but get pissy over those changes will just call me a ballwasher, dickrider, cocksucker, shiteater and other homosexual terms because they hate that I'm right, that they care about their dopamine hits immensely and that they're the main reason why Null went ballistic over this issue and will never reconsider it.

Also most of those accounts are from 2020 or later and don't have T&H, suggesting that they never cared about the site enough to ever chip in. No receipts shown that they helped out, but they sure as hell are vocal and demanding change because they are entitled to it for making a free account on a website that runs solely off of donations.

My point was that if people didn't sperg out over this and didn't annoy Null to the point where he permanently doubled down on these changes this wouldn't be happening. And I guess you're right, it's just a very vocal minority of ten faggots compared to the ~1.4k of active daily users. Everyone else just moved on.

The reasoning is pretty tortured. It's probably better point by point.

1. Furry ERP in a mass DM
2. User complains about being invited to mass DM
3. Null makes mass DMs against posters wills (despite there being an option to disable them) a bannable offense.
4. Null asks why people are using these mass DMs, fearing it will lead to discord behavior or even going to off-site
5. A mass DM user notes it's because they can post things that would be negrated freely and other silly behavior without mockery.
6. Null, who has for years been hearing people complain about receiving stickers, the ability to give out stickers and stickers in general, hears this and believes removing stickers will solve a huge amount of site drama (reports that staff have to handle) and free DM users and the complainers from their worries and they can post freely without fear.
