Stickers are all still there. Not all posts are worth being made, but some unworthy posts were being made for purposes of engagement. This is now fixed.

Now, Null is doing some live social engineering, apparently largely because of whiners clogging up the report queue. By doing that, by changing the notifications on stickers to off for all made the system have more friction. This is bad for user experience, and likely for 70%+ of the user base.

He was only turning off user score until dozens of people immediately noticed and complained about their removal. Then hevsaw just how driven by "engagement" they are, and decided to save them.

Should it be a feature that is defaulted to off? I don't care about the default, if the users are given a choice. Denying users that choice is shit.

This would have been cool, but Null, the man with the most information, decided to go a different route. A route that has provided much enjoyable sperging. Everything that could be considered important is still there, maybe requiring another second and click of effort. User choice is still present. Moreso than DMs, which have had the onerous burden of requiring written consent before inviting new participants added. But sticker fags are still crying harder. For almost a week now.

The man-hate thread set off a bunch of retards into seeing how much they could provoke both me and individual users. Instead of just allowing some users to have their speech in their thread, they went about trying to cause as many problems as possible to stop them, which obviously is antithetical to the site and my personal ethos. In the end it turns out most of them are just literal cocksmoking faggots who hate women.

I remember them purposefully entering the Man Hate Thread to insult and berate the women there. They were so mad that women could speak about negative experiences or thoughts regarding men that they went against warnings and targeted people. It was surprising because, particularly Matt Damon, I found to be a nice poster outside of this. They made their choices knowing the consequences.

There are plenty of things that we can criticize Null for. Heck, I have already further up the thread. Things like banning a man for fedposting or banning people who knowingly bait for it are not quite reasonable. It sounds like some people here are letting their anger for some decisions recolor their view of every decision before it.

The hate for Null wanting to allow women to have a space is also strange. Firstly, that has nothing to do with opinions on stickers. Secondly, so what? He has said before that women don't have a place anymore and so he's letting them have one on his site. That does not equal giving up control of his site for e-pussy. That means that he's following the same exact ideological line he has stated having in forever; the idea that women and men are different and that women should have their own spaces to discuss their own problems. He gave men their own space in turn. Men got mad and tried to invade the woman space, as they have in every other online community, and got punished for it. The horror.

Fixed is subjective, and per the poll at the top of every page of this thread, the bulk of the users disagree. If I'm being real, the bulk of the users probably don't care, but of those that do, the bulk do not approve of the change.

Null, by his own admission, doesn't run many (any?) analytics on the site. Removing the notifications, per Null's own words, was clearly an emotional reaction, not an informed reaction.

Actually the one thing that isn't there is a summarizer! While I mentioned that having utility for power users, the notification bell used to give a quick indication of how much heat you've gotten, WITHOUT A SINGLE CLICK. Now what you're describing takes 2-3 clicks, and I don't even think includes a count (outside of quotes / replies / @'s).

User choice is still present.

It's literally not present with regards to sticker notifications. Null opted to disable user choice in this matter.

Ask Null how many times he had to add someone to someone's ignore list because they were so assmad about them, only for them to manually go into their ignore settings to unignore that user to keep seething at them.

Then set it so that user isn't able to remove people from block lists. Again, why is the site being punished for a few spergs?
