Graduated from a prestigious university with a STEM degree, and now he has a high paying job in their machine shop. Dude gets to play with the coolest cnc machines, lathes, 3d printers, all kinds of awesome shit.
What does he do with his high level of education, financial security, and respect from his peers?
He starts taking HRT and plans to get elective surgery.

when I was in high school, alone, on my phone a lot, and going through a rough time, I heard the call of the void and trooned out as best I could. A year or two in, I realized I hated womens clothes, I hated dressing up, and that I was perfectly comfortable with who I was.
I was a hyper online, unsupervised 15 year old boy who desperately wanted to have a place to belong, who wanted to feel desireable. Troonism offers a "solution" to both of those problems. I'm glad I came back from the void. I can't believe I almost started HRT. Thank god I had a doctor who told me I probably wasn't trans and told me to come back in a year.
Most of my friends have been queer to some extent over the years. Part of why I trooned out was because I felt a sense of kinship with the type of weirdos that naturally gravitate towards that sort of thing. Had I been born 15 years earlier, I would just have friends in nerd circles and punk scenes. I get along nicely with those weirdos. They're all they/she now.
Being an adult now and having friends troon out around me is so isolating. I'll meet someone who I feel a sense of kinship with finally, and I know them for a year, and then they change their bio to they/she or whatever and change their preferred name. I used to think that the lack of attention from the opposite gender was the cause of transgenderism, but I'm not so sure about that today. I think there's something much deeper going on. This is a really underrated point. Then so many of them complain they can't make any money. ??? you live in a system that's built for making money. Maybe if you bothered to learn the slightest thing about how our society and economy functions and WHY you wouldn't have this problem.
Thankfully not as personal as some other stories posted recently, but I have seen an acquaintance become troon-adjacent, drop some (autistic) hints and it now looks like he will be going the route himself.
Thankfully this person is not important to me, but I won't write people off unnecessarily. This is a guy who has been pleasant whenever I've been in contact with him, not the smartest, sometimes posts drama, I don't know if there's something below the surface I've been missing. As we've seen again and again, this is what the emo kids of 10-20 years ago do now.
If I have contact with the guy again I will no longer be able to do anything but advise against the likely course in the strongest possible terms. The only possible reason I have not to believe this stuff is that it isn't true, useful or healthy.

Why go for a single digit of a percentage of the population if your goal is to get sex, rather than the cast the net wider?
The only other explanation is that they assume that lesbians or bisexual women are even easier, loser, more degenerate than straight women. And even that is only partially correct, as bed death does happen.

I remember back when I was younger and into Danganronpa, I had a male friend who I loved to chat with on Discord. He was around my age and we liked to talk about mostly Danganronpa and stuff, before our interests drifted apart due to personal lives and what not. I'm 20 years old now and I found out that he went MTF. I don't talk with him anymore, although I still have the old chatlogs from years ago to this day.
The worst thing is that I could've been a victim of trooning out myself because of self-loathing in early highschool, I'm thankful that I never went through with it and that it was just a phase.
