So I'm going outside of the US in a little bit. I have an android phone. I also have a couple old android phones. Is there any way for me to basically send and receives SMS/voice calls on a phone I have with me that I bought some cheap data plan for at my destination? Basically I'm trying to avoid paying a stupid amount of money to keep using my regular phone number while abroad for a couple weeks. So say I keep my main phone at home, plugged into the wall and connected to my cell provider. I have some old android with me, and I get a cheap data plan at a store where I'm going. Is there an app that will send texts and calls I get on my main phone to me, and vice versa?

Google Voice can apparently handle this for voice calls but not for texts - unless I am wrong, it forces you to use the number you get with the service, which kinda defeats the point.

buy a prepaid sim card with a flatrate where you can pick packages mixed with phonecall minutes / amounts of SMS / amount of internet GB per month. check all the providers and pick the one that suits you most. also turn off data roaming at all costs.

if you want to share sms texts between smartphones, then use a free (instant messaging) app instead.

For the most part, other than weird CPU restrictions like @Kosher Dill mentioned, you should not have any problems. I recently built a gaming machine that has IoT 2021 LTSC on it and the only issues I've run into so far is having to track down drivers that don't come installed by default. I was able to play all of the major games that came out last year.

Complete bullshit. I'm typing this right now on IoT 2021 LTSC that's connected to a 1440p monitor. Install a fucking graphics driver.

Is there any way to turn off those annoying "suggested responses" in GMail that's stuff really bland "normies" would say? When I get an email, there's suggestions like:

"Glad to hear it!"
"Ok, thanks for letting me know."
"Ok, see you soon."

It is really, really "smartphone"-ish and annoying.

Anyone have a recommendation for an HDMI splitter with EDID management or an EDID emulator?

Recently I picked up a new capture card (black magic design intensity pro 4k) for use with game consoles, VCRs and old cameras, but I'm encountering issues getting certain HDMI devices to show up.
Based on what I've read I may need to replace my old piece of crap splitter with one that has EDID management, or get an EDID emulator for use specifically with the devices that aren't displaying.

If I'm being honest, I'm incredibly put off by every result I find. They all feel like they are either not going to do what I need or are going to be a cheap piece of garbage or just be an outright scam, EDID issues are not something I've had to deal with until now, so any recommendations would be very much appreciated.
It's fine if it's on the pricier side, I'm likely to get a lot of use out of it.

Forgot to mention - the best prices I found on Aten stuff at the time was at Provantage, and they at least sell it direct to consumers without going through that whole "beg us for a quote" rigmarole.

I have a newer external hard drive that seemed to work fine until about a week ago and I didn't have the will mess with it. Today I do I can't figure out how to fix it. I get the error message that the device needs more power than USB port can supply. I tried googling how to fix this and I this wall of text I don't know what fuck I am reading, to be honest because I am a retard and know next to nothing about computers or electronics in the way this all being explained. Explain it like I am still in the womb what I do about this. I just don't understand why it was working without this issue until a week ago. 😭

ban evasion is easy on 4chan if your ip is dynamic ie can change. i just phonepost with mobile data on and if i get banned i turn data off/delete browser cookies.

Was it the low voltage error or was it the USB over voltage error message?

It sounds like you’ve got a USB port that dying, I’d suggest getting a powered USB hub and run your devices off of that.

You can use one of your known good ports with it.
