I think Modafinil is just the charitable explanation. He could just as easily be taking amphetamine, crack or meth. He is clearly on some stimulant because of how he constantly moves erratically and has a thuosand expressions, even when he is shitfaced drunk. Just look at the dear John clip from elissa
