I do have to wonder though. Was he always the creepy manipulative pervert, or was he just encouraged by all the "Ryan is our resident psychopath/daddy" shit that AH and the Fandom laid on him and he just embraced it?
It would be really ironic if the fandom made him realize that he could get away with pretty much anything since he was the "Mad King". I just imagine him chilling at home, when he receive a thirsty DM from one of his fans, and from there it all begins.

The funniest pic out of the leaked images was the one where, in one part of it he was hugging his kids on stream, and the one right next to it was Ryan, naked and lying down on the bed right behind him, sending it to one of his fans.

I've always believed that money and fame don't change your character, they just let you act out on it more freely.

My Mom used to call it "poaching from a helicopter" - A guy who grows up poaching animals for a living who hits the lotto one day isn't going to stop doing it. Even though he now can. He'll just buy a helicopter so he can fly himself to the range instead of walking.

Ryan probably always was a fun-fronting guy who went all horndog when no one was looking. Bet there are some stories from his HS days that he's lucky happened pre-mature-internet.

We're just speculating there are, but none of that aspect of his life was put online.
Remember this, simpler times.

and lol at the thirst comments on reddit.

Based on the people who came out afterward and said, "oh yeah I met this guy on craigslist in 2007, he said his wife wouldn't fuck him but that he had a sex drive like Russel Greer and needed to bone down with strangers hard or he'd die," I'm going to guess the former. I've never been 100% convinced those stories are real, but they're not exactly out of character at this point.

It's be a while since I've gone through whatever receipts were shared online, but he definitely played the "my marriage is basically dead, please let me fuck you no lube so my balls don't explode" card on some of them, including his stream moderator(s?).

I know that jannies usually do it for free, but I've never heard of jannies paid in cum.

Yeah, I think so, and Trevor was dating some other girl.
A little late to this discussion, but I remember around the time right before Aaron and Barbara broke up and she started dating Trevor that there were rumors that Barbara and Trevor cheated on their SOs with each other. I wouldn't be surprised, honestly.

RvB wasn't even that funny or well written. It was just one of the rare fan projects that didn't just evaporate the moment anyone else was expected to put some effort in. Which was a problem even back then for most fan projects.

Nothing like that is possible these days community collabwise because times have changed. Its all about the money now from what we can gleam from the demise of RT. However we have AI voiceovers and modern tech has advanced far enough that you can make models and animation work better than anything shown on RWBY from the comfort of your own home.

Monty was an overrated hack that I still don't understand why so many people claim to miss. Haloid was alright for the time for a fan creation, but the camera angles were changing too often so you couldn't tell what was happening on screen most of the time as a cheap trick to hide the hastily put together backdrop. His animations are what ruined RVB for a while until they went back to not using them with eyerollingly long action sequences that always overstayed their welcome. We get that they're supposed to be super badass not-spartan characters in a halo machinima. We don't need random 15 minute action sequences with no breaks after every other word taking up most of the season's runtime with COOLOCDONUTSTEELS and their invincible paintjobs. Sometimes less is more and its a lesson he never cared to learn.
I think you need to stop being a negative Nancy.

Shit like RvB is still possible, it just takes the right people.

Also it was funny because it was just simple humor, but that was the first few seasons when it was little more than a machinima show, where plot didn't matter and it was just a stupid show, with stupid jokes.

The good days

Barbara basically treated RT like her second chance at high school since she was apparently a giant online nerd her first time around. So her fucking and sucking whatever dick came her way while she played queen bee at the cool kids table is not surprising.

I'm re-watching RvB right now in their memory. Come to think of it, I never really watched much of Rooster Teeth, just RvB and Inside Gaming. I was always team Screwattack so I paid more attention to them.
Did they have any good content other than that? Sell me on it.

And RWBY was just “cute anime girls fighting monsters. And sometimes people”. So…the Red trailer. And maybe the White trailer if you want to be generous.

Early Achievement Hunter (Achievement horse, the early guides, fails of the week) was really fun weekly content with (mainly) Jeff and Jack. It was largely community driven. Very fun content.

Fast forward to when Michael, Ray, Gavin, and Ryan were brought on full time and the beginning of Lets Play (gtaIV, early minecraft, splinter cell, etc) and you get some super fun wholesome video content of great personalities messing around. I loved this Era because it was awesome seeing a group of 6 guys playing different games in different ways. They had a super fun dynamic together. It lead to a lot of fun IRL content as well. After Ray leaves,

you may as well stop watching because it becomes minecraft, gmod, gtaV non stop and they kind of stopped playing random games. There are some gems in the years since then but Ray left because he felt like shitbwas getting stale (my words) and he was right. It got stale.

I'm looking it up but they've made so many videos since then it's getting hard to find the cream of the crop you're talking about. Is there a good playlist or archive.org link for the "golden era" videos?

Agreed, I felt the first 10 seasons were great because of how everything circled back to the gulch especially how after red and blue learned they were there because they were retarded.

The backdrop of a serious plot contrasting to crazy antics is great content.

What was the story behind RT downfall? Was it the usual leftward spiral appealing to niggers and trannies?
