They’re removing all incentives for people to actually try to achieve anything or improve themselves and their situation. People want to simply blame their circumstances and absolve themselves of any personal responsibility for their shortcomings and failures. It all ties in with that helpless victim mentality that is the backbone of current DEI rhetoric and a lot of modern mental health "treatment" practices.

I would argue it does in a way. To continue the metaphor, we're clearly headed for mass uprisings, a race war, and heads on sticks; that would be the swing in the opposite direction. Such a swing would lead to Pajeets and politicians getting smashed en masse.

Without getting into a long pl, this is exactly what happened to me. I was even against Trump in 2016 (even though I am Canadian) and I was pretty liberal. All it took was one job working in niggerville with all the grifters along with the coof insanity and I did a total 180. I have been told I have been "radicalized" LMAO.
I still don't get how this would even work. Taxpayers need to pay into it. So if half the tax payers (as an example) decide fuck this I am gonna collect UBI cause I make the same working after taxation; where the fuck is all the money gonna come from to pay out UBI? How inflated can the economy get? Are we looking at Banana Republic territory?

For me. My first moment was this. "Wait, this is the only man who has tried to talk with North Korea to calm them down, how can anyone say that was an objective fault? If this was Obama everyone would suck his cock." Regardless of political sides that proved to me that his interests weren't completely aligned with the growing boot down my throat.
It shocked me, It was bewildering to me to see people disregard objective net positives simply because "orange man bad"
Then I started thinking about why so many cancucks talk about Trump, then I really started to notice things going downhill. Even back in 2018, I was seeing homeless tent cities pop up in small towns which cemented we are fucked.
You'll be paying yourself to not have to work full-time while also NEEDING two part-time, or side hustles. Most people are working one full time and a side gig. Or multiple part times. They are not planning on improving things. It's a completely fake and ludicrous way to prevent the entire ship from collapsing. People aren't hiring these immigrants who can't communicate, so they are also pushing for this to avoid the truth about foreigners. You'll pay more taxes to help supplement the nation's growing class discrepancies and all the brownies. They know this, and I think it's being done as a "fuck you" to anyone with spirit or grit.
Actually, they had a non family member living there too. All were from Sir Lanka. This implies that maybe some illegal immigration scam was occurring. I think the family was bringing shady immigrants who were not properly vetted. The newspaper said the police refused to give a motive or reveal details about the murderer. Again, all in vain to avoid the shocking truth that diversity isn't a strength at all. It's entire concept was founded on cultural genocide.

I don't want to sound cold but this is a whitey problem especially Toronto, GTA, Ottawa, SW Ontario etc. This shade of white is completely unwilling to accept just how much the system and the non-white people who work in that system absolutely hate white people and never will. Not until something like busting out and winding up on skid row and skid row says "hey fuck off, no Canadians". These unfortunate people are going to be the same people who would have jumped down your throat if you exhibited even a hint of racism. Somehow it always comes as a surprise that the diversity hires who get put in charge of government resources and whether you die on the streets or not don't quite feel the same way about you.
In the end, no one can or will fuck over white people quite like how other white people in Canada have. Tough pill.

The theory as to where all this money comes from ties in with the broader idea of wealth redistribution through heavy taxation on the most wealthy. Of course, this ignores the fact these taxes get passed on to ordinary consumers through increased prices. I have seen suggestions in the past that the carbon tax could be used to fund this.

I remember my immediate thought when I first heard of UBI was that it would cause inflation. I often see people counter that by getting caught up in semantics and the technical definition of inflation. This, of course, is complete horseshit, since the effects of inflation come from a sharp rise in the amount of money circulating in the economy at a given time. When the billions these asshole billionaires have sit unrealized as ongoing stock positions or stagnant in some bank account, that money effectively doesn't exist, for all intents and purposes, to everyone but the person who holds it and perhaps those seeking collateral in a loan (how most insanely rich people spend money). So taking that stagnant money and flooding it into the economy, whatever term you want to assign to such action, has the same effect as inflation. I ended up having a heated argument with some economics professors over this, who were insistent I was misinformed.
UBI is used frequently as a proposed "solution" to robots taking our jobs. I get the feeling that if every job is done behind the scenes by some faceless machine, this allows corporations to obfuscate the costs of the now automated labor. This obviously would give them a convenient justification to pass increased costs onto consumers.
These faggots never learned to fight the instinct to accept the first convenient answer that confirms one's worldview and stop thinking beyond that. Doesn't meet the accepted definition of inflation? Can't be a problem then.

Why not implement UBI for citizens and make PR and noncitizen work like slaves. Meanwhile, make it impossible to obtain citizenship except through 15 years of working. That's what Dubai is doing.

My two cents on that Cerb. It was advertised as something you had to pay back and people still jumped for it because "durr free money, its not like they're actually gonna make me pay it back". So many people I know scammed them, and now it's coming back to bite people in the ass. Slight powerlevel but I did not sign up for any CERB money, I was one of the "lucky" people who went from having a 40 hour week to a 60 hour week.
