Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

Eevee plush. I wanted one when Toys R Us was closing but the pin pad wouldn't work and I didn't have cash on me. I saw one at CVS and decided to get it. it's sitting on top of some old novels from the 40s that I need to get around to reading.

I don't know whether it's tism or just getting old but it seems like every few days the taste of standard mint fluoride toothpaste just makes me want to puke, which would ruin the whole point of brushing, and just not brushing isn't an option either. I like having all my teeth still. It's to the point that sometimes just even the thought of fluoride toothpaste makes me nauseated.

So I got some of this:

Super mild flavor. It's like one of those orange creamsicles but much more mild than even that, and with a texture sort of like what they use with that spinning brush at the dentist when they finish by buffing your teeth.

I definitely recommend it if you ever start having fluoride toothpaste issues.

I usually follow with a very mild flavored fluoride mouthwash.

My Unicorn Overlord Monarch Edition arrived. I rarely buy editions like this any more. Was going to play the game regardless, and the artbook was interesting to me. Not to mention that Vanillaware is one of the few decent developers apart from their PC shenanigans.

The material of the box is nice and solid and behind the wax seal is a magnet hidden, so the box closes properly.

Probably won't play it with anyone, but is a nice thing to have and seems some thought went into it.

Not a purchase but a complaint.

Last year or so I found this store that imported "Thailandese clothing". Nothing too special, just sort of wrinkly cotton shirts and pants with somewhat trippy print. I liked some of the designs (particularly that it's not just chest or back, but all over the shirt), and they're very comfy. So weird designs + comfy fabric = very autistic of me.
Went yesterday to see if I could buy some more; they're gone.

They only sell through fucking Instagram now. Not even a shitty site with some canned e-commerce thing, no. You gotta talk to them through Instagram. Fuck that.
Can't find anyone else selling them either. Only similar stores, similarly defunct, or similarly Instagrammed.

Thailandese clothing
Not necessarily a place that sells only that but if you went to a thrift store I’ve been finding more ethnic clothing there. I usually get the old shirts you see 60s bands like steppenwolf wear.

If you like African clothing I’d suggest trying to get some authentic clothing from South Africa. A lot of the goods sold there are usually under priced and shipping isn’t too expensive. I can’t really tell you of any import stores though because that a niche only the right people know type thing. But there’s some different routes If you want to try them. Id also say Amazon has some decent clothes but also fuck Amazon.

Mrs basso eats her lunch in her car at work so she can have some quiet so she often has the glove box of the car stuffed with condiment packets and napkins.

She was out of mustard so I bought a soft pretzel at Wawa when I was grabbing cash so I could take a half dozen packets for her with out looking like a hobo or junkie.

Got home warmed pretzel and dipped into melted buffalo cheddar cheese.

A funny little joke to play on the TSA

Mmmm, this is going to be an excellent joke on the TSA....

Now for my FRENCH LIGHTER. ST DuPont Ligne 1 ( Line 1), made until the late 1990s or late 2000s. Their original factory and records burned down in 2008 so they give pretty broad estimates. Mine is probably from the 1960s or 1970s-1980s.

It's silver plated, fish scale pattern with a brass body underneath. Butane fueled. The bottom has the refill port with a little screw in plug.

When you open them, you'll hear a "whooshing" noise as the lid controls the gas release valve. The textured cylinder is how you light it, turn it "away" from your thumb into the lighter. Closing the lid closes the gas release valve.

There is a flame height adjuster in the top, roll it up for more flame and down for less flame.

I'll make a little video for y'all tomorrow.

The current model is the Ligne 2 (Line 2).... STARTS at ~$900.... Goes up from there. Palladium or Gold plated, different designs and textures, including lacquer. The new one makes a really distinct PING sound when opened. Thankfully... eBay and a few other sites selling used ones exist.

I hope you are a cigar aficionado because otherwise you have to be seriously into crack.
