If there's one series whose musical numbers were of an appropriate length and actually good, Donkey Kong Country comes to mind.
I believe there were two songs per episode, but they barely ever lasted 90 seconds.

This is a good point. I feel like showtunes is an under appreciated genre of music, in that it is a genre of music that is tailor made to adapt ANY genre of music. Ironically, its Adam with his villain song that has the most "edgy" punk rock vibe, while all the Hell Songs are glitzy satires of Disney protagonist songs. A bit odd IMO, but bog standard when it comes to Progressives making their heroes blank slabs of wood and the villains far more interesting and possessing compelling motivations.I think both have good songs, but the more Hazbin goes on the more shit songs they seem to have. I also don't like how everyone in Hazbin tries to go for the very generic epic belting popularized by American Idol instead of having a bigger range of method like Repo had. In general Repo is a much better product that conveys a sense of hell rather well.
I wouldn't call either amazing, but Repo is a fun watch. That and thinking about it, Repo had a much wider range of characters with one brother being a sex pervert obsessed with vanity, the other being a violent psycho, and the sister being a whore, while the dad was a typical mafia business man. When compared to Vivzie's work where I can't tell the difference between a demon like Mammon and an angel like Adam and it's night and day.
Something else I noticed after going on a kick of watching old Repo songs, everyone in that has their own voice and singing style that fits their character, such as Rotti the older more traditional mob boss character being a very tenor style opera voice when he sings, while Pavi is very flamboyant, and Luigi just sounds toneless. In Hazbin everyone seems to have every singing voice that the show uses and it makes it come off as more inconsistent. This is a good point. Lets be real here. Whose story are you more interested in? Charlie trying to save more souls, or Lute's epic revenge quest for her man getting turbo murdered?
Oh, I'm sure they won't regret THAT in 10 to 20 years.Does anyone remember the person who made those chain pins?

This is what they’ve got now
Just remember, it’s permanent.
Personally, I’m rooting for neither.A bit odd IMO, but bog standard when it comes to Progressives making their heroes blank slabs of wood and the villains far more interesting and possessing compelling motivations.

The first episode is definitely the worst out of the bunch. Even the people who love this show will admit that. And guess who was the sole writer for that episodes?I have yet to finish the first episode. I can only handle so much cringe at once.
If I was written by Vivziepop I would work hard to become as famous as a nigger like Hasan, just to do a livestream killing myself with a gun.The first episode is definitely the worst out of the bunch. Viv herself, that's who. Funny, it's also the episode that has the most cussing. Really living that meme of "if X was written Vivziepop".
I believe canon (if it exists any more) is Alastor was white-passing mixed.Alastor is from like the 1930s right? Shouldn't he be racist as fuck? Unless he's half-black which I think is the implication or something?
One thing that should be put in front of all discussion of these shows is that they are fujoshit made by a white American liberal woman, first and foremost. Then everything becomes clear.I know it's already been said before but I can't agree more like this show is so safe edgy it's kind of hilarious.
Like we're in hell right? Where the fuck are the racists? Where are the sinners dropping the hard R? Alastor is from like the 1930s right? Shouldn't he be racist as fuck? Unless he's half-black which I think is the implication or something? I don't know I don't care enough to know the deep lore.
My point is where are my slurs? Where are my pedophiles? Where is ol' boy Adolf?
Could've fooled me if you said this show wasn't actually set in hell.
But putting that aside I honestly agree with the assertion that the show probably would've made more sense if it took place in Limbo or something rather than hell itself, but whatever. At this point it's obvious the show doesn't care about "making sense."

You could argue that it's like prison and the diddlers get shanked the minute they're alone.and pedophiles? well, since 99% of this hell is LGBT, putting them together would have made even more unfortunate implications
You know what? Fair assessment actually. You could argue that it's like prison and the diddlers get shanked the minute they're alone.
According to Vizvie, all of these are terminated as soon as they arrive in Hell, because these sinners share the same Californian sensibilities and would rather be in the company of rapists than racists.

How would they even know though? A pedophile Nazi could just lie and say he’s in Hell for some other reason and no one would be any the wiser. You could argue that it's like prison and the diddlers get shanked the minute they're alone.
Like, who the fuck built the city for instance? You figure the place would be such a constant warzone it'd essentially be a wasteland.
I said you could argue it, not that it was a good argument. I'd assume if you got into Hell people know what you're in for, but seeing how Viv's Hell lacks any coherence who knows? How would they even know though? A pedophile Nazi could just lie and say he’s in Hell for some other reason and no one would be any the wiser.
