GG became a joke but back when they reported and brought to light the network of industry insiders scheming and controlling things through threats, sex, and lies it was on point. The current state of gaming with the endless tranny shit, Sesame Street like "diversity", and prog messaging is precisely because the giant amount of GG grifters and hangers on diluted the message and gave the roaches a fridge to hide under, to the point where the actionable corruption and pay to win schemes got buried by bullshit.
If it had stayed on brand the would've been court cases over the corruption of reviews, awards, and events from the attendees who never had a chance because a bunch of BPD narcissists sucked every cock in every rom the wandered into. Well it just so happens that it was featured and won in two consecutive years of indie awards, and by pure coincidence and happenstance was backed by people from the organization running and judging that contest. So the annual, one entry-one year-one chance, indie awards, awarded a game they would financially benefit from the prize and all the attention for two years in a row. Almost seems like the game was rigged from the start, and the people who put their hearts into their actual indie projects and entered them for the chance of being featured got fuck all.

I explained this like a year ago in the Mulvaney thread, but it’s a different situation.
The audience that likes trannies and he’s TikTok and Instagram is not the bud light audience. For over a decade now, that audience has been drinking craft beers with silly names and wacky labels or drinking seltzers like White Claw. That was an attempt to get a new audience that backfired in them alienating their existing audience which was only still around out of familial nostalgia. They drank bud light because their dad drank it. People with familial bonds wouldn’t be down for tranny shit, and people down for tranny shit wanted different beer. It was lose lose for bud light.
This isn’t the case for video games. The gays and trannies like the same games everyone else likes, so catering to them doesn’t cause a loss in sales. Even if 100,000 people boycott a game. It’ll still make mostly the same money just off of mainstream ignorance to the issue, and all the fags who were already gonna buy it celebrating it.
This is why they keep trying to identify as the video game characters, making fanart and hentai with the characters of popular games and appropriating them into their gay causes. Regular person likes game A, the alphabet crowd likes games A, alphabet uses their mass internet presence to “queer code” game A, regular people still buy game A.
Hell Divers 2 is a sign that it works in reverse too. No game loses sales because of politics. They only lose them by being awful or having shitty microtransactions.
Often companies add in the DEI stuff to try and save sales, but because that stuff neither hurts nor helps a game, it’s ultimately fruitless and we end up with garbage like Forespoken which started life featuring a white girl as the protagonist before development hell and the director quitting ruined it to the point Square Enix thought bastardizing it further with the most annoying black woman ever(so annoying that they had to issue an update giving players the ability to make her talk less) as a last ditch effort to get pity sales.
Same shit with Alan Wake. Most people forgot that Saga was shown in Quantum Break to be a white girl. Alan Wake was popular, Remedy’s other games were popular. Alan Wake 2 was gonna be popular. They wanted extra brownie points, it didn’t work, but the game still won a ton of awards and is popular.

It's also the case that these people have fundamentally racist assumptions, e.g., that a black woman is one kind of person, and has to be so because they were shaped by the experiences of living under a white supremacist nation, and since it's all nurture and no nature therefore all black women having what they presume is the same experience means they are all the same person. So they think merely having a "black woman" as a character is important because they need to "identify" with that character and their "Black experience."
