So, let me guess. The Washington establishment came to the realization that Trump might be able to beat the fraud despite all the organization they have planned. So, in order to cement the steal, they want to get enough RINOs to leave their seat so that one of two things happen,

A) Trump is legally barred from showing up in the general election

So far, despite the fact that the legal shit is obviously corrupt, it at least has a plausible veneer of 'legality' that you can technically defend as being arguably legal and correct and within the confines of the 'rules'. Those rules confine and constrain all the actions of the players, and even though the Uniparty is cheating CONSTANTLY they do it in mostly subtle gray area ways. However, all the 'rules' are absolutely artificial and have zero inherent moral authority or enforcement mechanism except that everyone 'agrees' to abide by them.

The last thing the Uniparty Elite would want is to outright flout the rules by assassinating Trump - and nobody is going to believe it was some unhinged righty that did it - and declare a free for all. They like the rules, they are good at manipulating them to give a veneer of invincibility and demoralizing inevitability.
