Modern day though I'd assume it's because a certain swath of Americans, who bleach their chicken and dowse all their food with a mountain of spices, have basically ruined their palettes so any subtle flavor to them is completely undetectable.

They aren't even stopping it, they're just preventing blanket approval with zero accountability or pathology of a patient being conducted.

The new process is that individual doctors need to apply for approval to prescribe puberty blockers on a case-by-case basis. That, if your goal is to "protect trans kids", would be a good thing. Those who are not trenders will receive the life saving medicine that causes them to commit suicide and the trenders that ruin the perception of transitioning will be weeded out.
