How many game mechanics have we scrapped over the past 10 years cause of these fucking retards who are stuck doing games journalism cause they can't break into other industries? Hell even Final Fantasy has started ripping out the RPG mechanics for "Press X to win fite" shit. Worse, they're smugly explaining that it's accessibility because making games so easy they can finish them in time for their review accessable is a virtue and if you don't like it, go find another hobby.

If there was ever an industry that deserves to be replaced by machines it's jp to en localizers. They don't understand the appeal of what they translate from the consumer's perspective, and they have no appreciation for the source. Good riddance. I wonder if this, like vidya consulting and ttrpg writers also has deep ties to the sa forums and moderation?

how much of this is real and how much of it is just wishful daydreaming from angry weebs?
japan exporting pre-translated weeb content to the world and cutting out all the middle men like funimation would be pretty based, but i'm not sure if i can believe some random posts from facebook (?) and 4chan

Crunchyroll has recently confirmed using AI for subtitling too. It won't be surprising if Japan got to this realisation due to Sony's retardations too. The only downside would be that English teachers being irrelevant thing.
