Nigger, name an MSDOS game that would actually intrigue zoomers aside from Doom 1/Doom 2. Maybe Wolfenstein 3D, but that game's unplayable to me. We didn't have much, but what we did have was good.
I think there's a lot to rediscover out there. Baldur's Gate 3 was incredibly popular and a lot of people, zoomers included, seemed to like a turn based story heavy RPG. So why not the old Gold Box Games? They're simple enough to figure out, gold box companion lets you auto map and you can even design your characters little pixelated sprites.

Pool of Radiance and its sequels take place in the forgotten realms which is probably the most recognizable fantasy setting. Gateway to the Savage Frontier does too, treasures even has a goofy small romance arc which they all seem to like. The Krynn series is probably my favorite and they all have those fantasy adventure elements fans of a BG3 type game would like if they get past the old graphics. Death Knights of Krynn could almost be classified as an open world game with all the side quests.

The Dark Sun games are fun too, although the sequel is really buggy. Good luck getting any other dark sun video games out there while you're at it, Wizards said the setting is too problematic and they've completely shuttered it which sucks ass because it's about as Jack Vance sword and sorcery as you can get.

I'm also just shilling those games because I love them but at the same time BG3 has ton of gold box DNA deep down. No bullshit, just tactical combat, good stories and experience points to murder stuff for.

A lot of the art kicks ass too.

The likes of Anita, and her ilk going underground again because their brand is too toxic for corpos to associate with, even with SBI extortion. That is my definition of victory.

That won't happen unless we collectively say "no more" to new purchases throughout the year. We have to cause a big enough stink to force layoffs, though I doubt that'll happen because there are too many happy retards greedily buying the slop that's released year after year. Too many consoomers and not enough people with real drive to actually push through change. Our (for lack of a better word) "side" has become so apathetic towards activism that many don't want to appear as crazy as the Leftists pushing that shit, but sometimes you need to be a little crazy in order to see actual change happen.

I lowkey disagree with this. Corpos have been laying off employees by the bushell ever since they drank the kool-aid. Hell, Japan's pretty much said "enough's enough," and has subtitles, and localizations dedicated to an AI now. I do agree that we gotta make 'em bleed from their bottom line, no matter how long it takes, but at the same time, I guess some people like me are just getting antsy that it's taking a while.

I'm not even much of a consoomer but who the fuck doesn't have enough unplayed games already in their library to last a couple years? And if not what the fuck is wrong with these people who can't yell AVAST, hoist the black flag, and take to the high seas?

That would just cause blanket crash on gaming market, with possibility that corpos take wrong lessons from it.
Better scenario would be one where ESG-infested games severely underperformed compared to general sales.

They're using this. Basically in like 6 months they homebrewed a solution. Combination Scanner + OCR + Machine Translation system.

I've heard of the Mantra/Magus Bride situation and some other developments, but not that entire story arc the 4channer is laying out. Never heard of JP otaku doxing dissenters, DDOSing and complaint waves to companies, Sony office fire/arson, yakuza lord funding AI models because their waifu was disrespected, or the games/manga/anime translation issue spreading to affect the "legal bureaucracy" and baka gaijin English teachers. And I assume media translation is referring to TV programs. Is this all a hallucination or is a lot happening in Japan right now that Westoids aren't hearing about?

Honestly, I've reached the point where I don't even fucking care anymore. The only way this ends is a purge.

Tell it to me straight, gentlemen... What are our odds of winning? The absolute size of our enemy is staggering, and intimidating, but they have slipped up in the past. So, at the risk of sounding like i'm fedposting, what are our odds?
As others have said. Depends on how you define it
Don't ever think you'll get AAA or your beloved IPs back. They're dead.

Your best bet is to support indie studios who aren't fucktards and want to just produce good products. Same with AA.
Support companies that actually treat you, a customer well.

I think I already defined victory as thus, Anita, and her ilk are forced underground, and DEI is deemed too toxic to touch, even with SBI extortion at play.

I am fully aware that the IPs affected may be too far gone, but that's why indies will come in to replace them, and fill in the void. I'm not concerned with the state of AAA, because they will either downsize, be deemed too toxic to touch, even for megacorps like WB, or become irrelevant in the future.

Honestly, I have 55 older titles on PC that I've rebought (since moving over from console) and a few older titles on GOG, not to mention my backlog with regards to emulating older consoles. As I've said previously, I've got enough content to last years. I don't really need the modern AAA industry anymore. I'm just here to point and laugh while it collapses in on itself in a singularity of retardation like the rest of you fine folks here.

I kinda agree here. The time for Best Case Scenario has come and gone. It's at the point where it'd be better to just nuke the market from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

as long as you're laughing at people on the Internet, you're always winning.

as for GamerGate 2.0? i doubt the collective conscious of the gamer™ hivemind is going to accomplish much of anything this time around either, though there is hope for some sort of accountability because while gaming journalism has truly nothing going for it (they welcome people like Alyssa Mercantile to say the most retarded shit ever cause it gives them their precious engagement), studios and the people they answer to have more reason to excise tumors like Chris Kindred and that Black Panther tard because they don't want to deal with the shit they're getting on behalf of the social media meltdowns these types have on the daily.

just remember that this shit only started because a SBI employee tried to take that curator list down and none of these rat-fuck journalists mentioned it any of their articles, and the reason why they won't mention it because once they concede that one of their own started it then that excerpt can get an annotation on the wikipedia article saying that it was them that fucked up.
