This observation touches on several different parts of transgenderism.
Boundary violation: Human/Animal is a pretty hard and fast boundary, so it's thrilling to violate it by wearing a tail to work, making dog noises or telling your boss that you have a wolf soul.
Escapism: transgenderism is often motivated by wanting to be the farthest thing from what you currently are. Are you a built six-footer shaped like a fridge, with many pesky human thoughts inside your mind? Escape this by becoming a dainty plastic bimbo fuckdoll. Or a panther. Or both.
Abdication of responsibilities: Cats don't have to do scary adult human things like getting and keeping gainful employment. They call it "feral", I call it anxious regression. Although (due to being terminally online forever) I can usually guess from a post if someone is male or female, all the posts about female-brained pooners have really amped up my detection skills. I couldn't always tell you in the past WHY something read male or female, nowadays it's easier to point to specifics. And I have a greater understanding now of why men see women as neurotic and illogical, and why stuff women go batshit over is really not seen as an issue by men, not necessarily out of malice but it's just not on their radar as an issue. Female socialization vs. male socialization seems a lot more obvious now, too. Every time some guy rips on a pooner for female brained thinking, it's like a little nugget of insight.

If there's something the different taxonomies of lolcows indexed on this site teaches me it's that stupidity functions in predictable ways. It's like with bad drivers. If the bad driver is driving like the highway of some sort of Twisted Metal Death Race, he's probably male. If the driver is driving as though they aren't paying attention to the road at all, she's probably female. There are good drivers of both sexes, but the stupid ones who aren't self-aware enough to understand why they are problem to others operate in ways that have to do with their identity. Same thing here, if any of these people had the self-awareness to actually analyze their desires and temper their impulses, they wouldn't be transitioning. But because they lack that sort of metacognition, they fall into these broad trends that speak a lot to innate differences in the tendencies men and women have.

Looks to be Camp Namanu, the middle dorm bunk and interior photos match their new dorms.
