When I read white Canadians on Twitter actively defending 'multiculturalism' by insisting it's not the composition of the immigrants coming into our country that matters, it's just the number that's too high, I become convinced Canadians don't deserve to survive as a people. If there are so many Canadians that don't have a problem in principle with their country being flooded with racially and culturally dissimilar foreigners, I just don't know how it's possible for us to deserve to survive. Maybe it's just the propaganda machine that's been so successful over so many decades in browbeating Canadians into hating themselves, their culture, their values, their heritage, I don't know.

There is a historical reason for this. Canada lost a crucial part of its identity with the end of the British Empire because much of our pride stemmed from being a loyal part of the empire. Multiculturalism rushed in to fill the void in the sixties, which coincided with a relaxation in immigration laws that allowed people from outside of Europe to migrate here much easier. This identity crisis has made it easier for ideologues like Pierre Trudeau and his idiot son to mold the nation in their own image as the only people who even remember pre-"multicult" Canada are the Boomers who threw it in the trash. Sadly, decades of cultural decay have left Canada without an identity outside of empty platitudes.

It's also very useful to know which businesses also shut down during the pandemic. Like many businesses I've seen couldn't keep up with the forced restrictions deeming them as "non essential" and had their store hours reduced drastically. We've never had a truly high trust society.

Are there exceptions? Sure. I don't disagree that a leader sometimes has to make decisions that won't be popular for the good of the country, but this is a guy who allowed so much immigration, he totally fucked up the housing market for a generation of Canadians.
