Without getting into it too much so I don't derail, it was like any other political movement with some vague complaints and ideas in common that met together. The Nazis had a socialist faction but they were destroyed in the Night of the Long Knives with the murder of the Strasserites and Gregor Strasser. Remember Hitler didn't even start the Nazi party, he just joined it early on. Ol' Adolf viewed himself as something neither left or right, or maybe something with elements of both.

I know he was anti commie actually, but certainly a good few ideas he had were socialist. Like the 1 pot meal and the car for the people, Volkswagen. I can definitely confirm that supporters in countries like mine, called themselves the NSB, Nationaal Socialistische Beweging. (National socialist movement, basically showing how they were going around the democratic system by making it a movement) which was basically the Nazi party in the Netherlands. You will still hear our older generation calling any cop that goes against the people "NSB'ers."

Though, sliding it back on topic. I would be very curious how many of these people worship Stepan Bandera.

Is it really consulting? What I can see of their business model is that they contact various studies and basically tell them that if they don't make DEI changes to their game then SBI will contact the game company's investors and media companies and tattle about how fascist and racist their game is so that nobody buys it. I've heard stories about companies that had their game models and story nearly completed only for SBI to come in and force them to redo everything to something objectively inferior and unpleasant. Plus the biggest hits in the last few months like Palworld and Helldivers 2 were quiet releases that likely missed notice by SBI and other groups until after they launched and they then sold like hotcakes and were too popular to care about bowing to dei demands.

It's clearly a racketeering scam, like the California ADA lawsuit scam.

As someone who recently got a rig himself, I actively can & can't run DD2 at the same time. I have a 32GB RAM & a 1TB SSD, but this'll still make my PC shit itself cause I have an old Radeon 570 (not to be confused with 5700, I brought that 570 brand new once, it's was a budget beast at the time) & a Ryzen 5 5500.

In which world are things like i9/Ryzen 9, & RTX 4080/Radeon 7900 a "recommend choice" instead of a maximum one is beyond me. It's like the basic skill of size compression & lower-end comparability has become a lost art or something.

Honestly, I consider myself more right leaning than most in my circle, but I'm just like everyone else. As a Christian as well, it's really difficult to get across to others who are in the same kind of circle (who are religious) to see the value in (what they deem as) "secular" entertainment. If the Christian base weren't so religiously dogmatic, they could EASILY win any kind of culture war by producing and making things to appeal to the general public. On the other hand there's baffling assumptions from people who don't make games. I've seen people claim all games should be made in assembly like Roller Coaster Tycoon and Mario were. It's just not feasible. When Starfield came out, I was surprised by the number of people who were trying to play the game 1440p 60fps high settings on PCs with a decade old GPU and no SSD.

Look I get there's getting with the times. A slightly outdated PC (not ancient just not top of the line) is a super computer from 20-30 years ago. Why are they making games that are breaking the backs of machines that literally can calculate moon landings? It's complete bloat.

I'm not asking them to use assembly. I'm asking them to optimize their code, compress their shit, and make it run smooth on a well built PC that also isn't 5k. It's not asking much. Fuck they can use Java if it's done right.

Woke has the same problem though, which is one of the reasons I consider it more akin to a religion than to a political movement. Years ago I remember commenting that Matt Damon made movies (the Bourne movies) that could practically be considered anti-gun-control propaganda, despite the fact that Damon is rabidly pro-gun-control himself. But in those days, Hollywood cared about making entertaining action movies, while using the large amounts of money they made to support their pet political causes.

That's not how woke operates. They have to put obnoxious and in my opinion ineffectual preaching in every piece of entertainment they control, even if it causes that entertainment to fail economically. Actually, now that I think of it, God's Not Dead makes more sense here. The people who made it budgeted it and advertised it based on the fact it has a certain audience and won't have super broad appeal. It made decent money even though it only appealed to Christian audiences. Just look at the budget to revenue numbers here. Woke sticks this stuff in extremely expensive blockbusters that are supposed to have broad appeal. Then when those movies or videogames fail? They do it again. It's deranged.

That's all true, but I will say that for one reason or another the grip on woke stuff is loosening for the first time in a decade. That has pitfalls such as people being able to cope about stuff to a greater degree and ignore it, but it is a chance. I genuinely think that now and in the near future is the time if you want to push out a right-wing product. There's already momentum, the usual opposition isn't getting the funding or the reach they used to and from how defensive they are I doubt they're going to stick their neck out to shut down a new game or whatever. Usually they couldn't wait for something like that to happen.

I think this is partially due to the election/war situation in the world, but I'm not sure.
