I will say, outside of the current drama with the character. I do like that they at least went creative in making a creepy monster being for a killer. There's been so many humanoid figures in the game, that seeing something like the unknown, demo, or even the alien gives some fresh air to the mix.

In 2020 they stated they would start adding sexuality to the lore of the characters. In 2022 they were "thrilled to confirm it's first playable LGBTQIA2S+ character". Followed by pendants with different pride flags.

BHVR/Behaviour, the French-Canadian company responsible for Dead by Daylight, is an incredibly pozzed company. They’ve added over 10 pride-themed cosmetics for both survivors and killers, champion drag queens playing the game on stream on the Steam store page, and even have company-sponsored pride rallies. It is very unlikely that this is intentionally designed to offend troons, which, in my opinion, makes it funnier. Take notes, this is what happens when you foster a playerbase and company culture of perpetually offended genderspecials.

This makes me wonder if eventually, the company will end up surrendering to the troon mafia, and changing the model and design of the monster to something completely different, which will result in this old physically accurate troon model being only accessible via-mods, who will of course be flagged and deleted off mainstream modding sites, the cycle for this is already predictable.

1: They can rage quit, but it incurs a penalty the more you do it. It leaves a bot behind now which are better than the player that just left because they are psychic. They also will come up to you and teabag for healing.

3: incorrect. PTB is up for 1 week and then it's gone.

4. Not really. Nic Cage has 150+ voice lines, and Chucky has a combined over 300 voice lines when you include Tiffany.

Switching killers was removed due to MMR being made per killer, Dogshit change but not because of racism.

DbD's first female survivors had their races swapped due to implications.

Meg was raised by her mom, her perks are all about Speed & quietly vaulting windows or entering lockers

Claudette has both parents, perk literally called Empathy and can heal herself & others faster.

They had figured it out during the Alpha version but somehow giving a killer two voices from the same actor didn't spark their brain.

Being an online-only game with anti-cheat, modding is not possible. At least, not without being banned. There was an exploit found once that allowed people to make custom cosmetics (thus bypassing the cosmetic store in the game) and it was patched out almost immediately (any other change would take months which the devs brush off as standard because they work "so hard")
