Dead by Daylight and other Asymmetric Slasher Games - Discuss the games and the autistic/entitled communities around them

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This self-described "enby" (faggot) made Deathslinger his personality and is now begging BHVR to fix the inconsistencies with invisible walls in a million 5mm spots instead of switching to a killer that isn't shit:
Autistic nitpicky fag expects special treatment like all of his kind do. Reminder it took months for BHVR to bother with killers whose entire powers were bugged, but I am sure they will get right back to him to fix those little irrelevant details no one cares about!

Making a video game character your entire personality has to be even faggier than calling yourself "enby".

EDIT: There's a new survey. Some stuff it asks:
  • Toxicity
    • what's the most noticeable form of it (lobby, in-game, post-game, outside of game)
    • the amount of it and how it affects you
  • FNAF dlc
    • balancing of the animatronic
    • balancing of the map
  • Tokyo Ghoul and Steady Pulse chapters period
    • what events/updates/characters you cared about enough to keep playing
    • generic bullshit questions about whether you enjoy the game
  • Opinions on bug fixes
    • various in-depth questions and whether you're satisfied by BHVR's work (lol)
    • which bugs are most likely to stop you from playing
    • which bugs affected you the most
  • Whether you recommended the game to friends
Nothing really important, but I used this opportunity to ask them for a surrender option for killers. Told them I took breaks from DBD due to toxicity and they shouldn't be forcing killers to experience a walk of shame after every match that isn't 3-4k. They probably won't care, but I did my part.

Are you speedrunning a pink triangle or something? This is easily the most autistic phrase I have read in a while.
First I want to apologize for getting back to these so late, but I don't always have enough time during the Day depending on how busy I am. So I'm not sure what a pink triangle is... lemme just do some quick research... so it looks like a Nazi thing that was for Homosexuals in their Concentration Camps? So I'm not a Homosexual, God has also called it out as a sexual abomination so even if I had the inclination to be attracted to Men I wouldn't acknowledge it. As for my being autistic. I assume the word is just tossed around a lot without much meaning, but I did get a psyche evaluation before getting my Job. They said I was "slightly impaired", but they didn't say anything about autism. I have always assumed that I'm at least a little autistic though. I want to state that I'm usually somewhat joking around with a lot of what I post here though everything is in fun (mostly).

Also to keep it on topic, I have been playing quite a bit of the Killer Klowns game after it was on sale, and I've been really enjoying it. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of people playing, but I'm fine with bots filling in for missing players. I love the Movie, and I love monster Clowns so it's just the kind of thing I'd really enjoy.

To be more serious about the Game and its Mechanics for a moment, this has been bothering me for a long time so I feel like mentioning it here. My most hated mechanic in the game are Flashlights, not just because they are annoying in game, but also because lore-wise it just seems incredibly stupid to me that they are basically the main "attack" Survivors have against Killers (besides dropping Pallets), it's like you've got this big hulking behemoth of a Man carrying a person or chasing somebody, like how much sense does it make that they drop everything, and can't even move when they get flashed in the face with a Light? The whole concept irks me, and just feels insulting all around. It also ruins certain Survivors even more for me, like Alucard of all people running around with a Flashlight, any time I see something like that I die a little inside.
If I had my way Flashlights would basically be removed from the game entirely, and replaced with some other form of attack that Survivors would have available to them that would make more sense for stunning the Killers in the Game. Preferably something that is different for each Survivor (Like Bats or a Sword for Alucard), and it would also help make the different Survivors feel more like their own individual character, even if the attack is just a slightly different skin for different Survivors. And Lightborn would be changed to something that counters stunning attacks from Survivors. I know it will never happen, but I just wanted to vent a little about it.

The only way I can rationalize the Killers reaction to the Flashlights is that they are Magic Flashlights or whatever made by/from the Entity that are incredibly physically painful for the Killers to look at directly.

Every object in the game is something created by The Entity. Flashlights are still dumb though.

Surprised no one has posted it but there's a new hellraiser game being made by the people that raped and killed Evil Dead: The Game

How many failed license games is it going to take before these companies get the hint.

  1. Don't make a license game 80s slasher movies. Nobody under 40 gives a shit about these old movies like Killer Klowns. Make a your own horror IP and buy license agreements like DbD does.
  2. Always go generic everyman IP where everything can fit instead of affixing yourself to a particular time/location like rural southern states or 1980s like TCM or VHS respectively. Most money is made in cosmetics for Girls/Fags to play digital dress up anyways.
  3. Live-service development should focus on making more maps, characters and cosmetics. Don't waste the year developing another game mode that nobody asked for like Evil Dead or TCM.
  4. Balance the game on both sides of the Asym. Don't think handholding and pandering to the larger side of the group will keep your game alive as VHS has proven that making Monsters/Killer unfun means nobody will play that side of the game, exploding Teens/survivor queue times so long that they'll also get bored waiting for a game and then quit too.

The Hellraiser game is a single player, narrative driven game, so no need to worry about live-service, or getting nickel and dimed to death with constant skins and DLC characters.

Fair enough. I shouldn't have jumped the gun. Although I'm surprised it Doug Bradley and not the Transgirl from the recent Hellraiser movie from years ago.

In mine and Cisna's defence given how Gun and Illfonic after F13's failure they jumped into making more asym games with popular IPs we sorta assumed that's how it was gonna go with HR

They're not fully changing Clown, and the Knight's summons are not getting burned at the stake. Good shit. Mostly. Some Knight changes sound like they're still in, which is a really, REALLY bad idea. Shitaguard is gonna be the only way Knight will be played. Still up in the air if the Clown Guide is gonna keep getting updated.
