There is a video, that I think I linked earlier by Self Defiecient which encapsulates most of the issues (wokeness aside) in modern gaming.

Every single issues need to be attacked by customers and consumers because developers are pulling a lot of crazy excuses to protect live service monetization. Tekken 8 is getting dunked on because of the rampant cheating and lack of consequences because Harada doesn't want to jeopardize sales from the Cash Shop and disc-locked characters made up some shit about getting law enforcement involved, so "Don't ask him for Shit." Just eat your goyslop nostalgia from older games, as Harada sells poorly-remade costumes from older games, shitty customizations that should have been in the fucking game, and disc-locked characters you had access to in older games. The people supporting this shit whether it's in figthing games or Call of Cuckholding Duty need to get exposed and called out.

Don't buy those games? Problem solved.

I have 11 Japanese AA Switch games sitting on my desk waiting to be opened which have none of that junk.

Eventually it will crawl into AA and even Indie games if it hasn't already. Avoiding Triple A games only does so much when it's not being addressed or only scumbags like YongYea pretend to cry about lootboxes and live services.

The funny thing about Gamergate 2 is how lopsided it is compared to the first one.

The original gamergate was very niche and fringe. Many of the people who got famous from it were just starting out at the time, and there really wasn't any kind of mainstream component at all. Twitter was filled to the brim with shitty celebrities and journos who all organized on Killer Quinn's shitty chat group, they had all of MSM on their side, Wikipedia and Twitter's staff. Even with all of that, it managed to have some staying power and dedicated people supporting it (and grifters who got rich off scamming from it) and the people against it genuinely seemed to struggle and get genuinely frustrated it wasn't being stomped out.

Now it's almost entirely inverted. Most of the big anti-GG e-celebs have disappeared, either because they didn't have the mental stability to keep doing shit, don't care anymore, or they turned out to be monsters. A huge civil war over "Terfs" divided the movement into tiny little pieces. MSM and Wikipedia were once trusted institutions, but all the partisan shit with Donald Trump, Elon Musk and other controversies completely collapsed that trust, even in non-partisan people. Elon Musk owns Twitter and acknowledged GamerGate 2, so it doesn't look like the staff wil be suppressing it. The once small, niche influencers who originally talked about GG are now big shots with millions of subscribers, and many people are making clickbait because the topic is so hot.

It shows how much shit has changed. For the better? I don't know yet, but things aren't the same.

Stuttering Craig has a story. You may know him as the famous Slamball player, but he's also partially responsible for the modern media landscape through his work at ScrewAttack along side other early pioneered like TGWTG, Spoony. He's responsible for bringing AVGN to GameTrailers.

Notably, relating to GamerGate. He has said during GamerGate (2014) his (former) colleagues/employees silently rendered him persona non grata over his lack of public statements regarding GamerGate. He feels hurt by this and he emphasizes it was his lack of politics that resulted in this loss of friendships, rather than his own politics. After selling ScrewAttack and working as an employee he decided to attempt to start a new gaming channel, which eventually pivoted to culture war coverage. Sidescrollers is the podcast he used to do at ScrewAttack, which he's now repurposed.

That said, he's a bit of a simpleton, and an intellectual such as I would never watch a mexican man eat chicken mcnuggets until he pukes. I believe him to be a mostly genuine/nice person. I don't consider him a grifter.

Weird fact: he went off to do media for a company and ended up quitting because he became uncomfortable creating firearm training media post-some-school-shooting. Maybe that's a lie, but if it's not it demonstrates a strong morale compass whether he's correct or not.

Gamergate is a very obscure subject beyond the recognition of a normie, especially the truth about Gamergate obscured for a decade by the narrative of ideologically-captured video game journalism. Mainstream conservative media that Walsh is a part of, meanwhile, has protested plenty against woke Hollywood and literature, but video games have simply not been in their purview. I suppose, though, that the online anti-woke nerd crowd would actually prefer to cut off their noses and remain as insular losers than spread their message and activism to a wider audience.

Video games and Pop Culture were largely ignored until the Far Left really ramped it up in 2017 (even right wingers mocked Gamer Gate). When this started 10 or 11 years ago, no one did anything when sjws and Antifa leftists took over things like tabletop gaming (VTM) ,comics, and even Prowrestling after gaining ground on sites like Reddit and Something Awful (A lot of wrestling smarks and marks are far leftists, and the wrestling industry is more in bed with leftists). Both media sides ignored and rejected anyone who brought this shit up until backlash from antiwoke people finally happened in 2019. 2013-2018 you were basically seen as a retard just for brining up sjws or woke shit.

We got G-Man for at least 10 more years so we should just focus on being happy for those 10 years.
