I remember EVS and co. espousing the same thing, if mags, ta-nehisi and others made their own IP it would've been fine and here is eric july doing that and he's getting flak..

The implication was that if Mags and Ta-Nehisi did their own IP, they would fail. But with Eric exactly the opposite happened.

I seriously hope EVS is just faking this. Otherwise the dude is getting extremely unhinged.

I think of it slightly differently. 90% of Ethan's customers are fans of the streams. They don't really care about the comics at all. The comics are just merchandise that people can buy to display their support for the show.

Similar thing with July; for all his rejection of the CG model, he did follow one of Richard C Meyer's core tenets for comic book success: build your stupid crowd first and then pitch them your stupid comic.

I bet he did think about it. Problem for @FROG was the risk: the difference with July's model was that EJ set his business up investing all that time, MONEY and effort before selling a single book. There was a real possibility he would fail with no one caring for his stuff and him left hanging on to a stock of trashy books and art/printing/shipping/storage/et cetera bills (and getting shit on for it here at the farms). Digging yourself into a hole for an uncertain success later on is not for the faint of heart. And I wouldn't be surprised Ethan also resents this self-confidence in Eric.

It's not that he didn't think of it, he's not the kind of person capable of creating a successful business strategy. EJ has been an entrepreneur for years. He creates things, but he's always been very interested in business. EVS is just a fat fraud who doesn't know how to do anything else besides draw comics, talk shit, lie, and drama farm.

an important thing to have when you want to create and mantain a bussiness is connections, and you don't get many of those if you start a livestream shitting, lying, revealing messages about every person you don't like.
Would you start a bussiness with a person that could get mad at you for no apparent reason, start lying and trying to ruin your public image and start siding with pedophiles and grifters?

Meyer's 2015 model was not the CG model he helped create later on. When he relaunched the JB in 2018 with Jon Malin on pencils, Zack had already amassed quite a bit of followers he realized he could grift from. Since then his mantra was crowd first, comic afterwards.... to me it's obvious July was paying attention.

I think the puppet concept as a whole. But the paitent zero was Zippy, a friend of Doug T. Not sure if they were inspired by him though.

EVS is the worst propaganda possible against "the big corpo woke comics industry" as they call them. he is now becoming the parody that the media says "the anti woke" are:

A late update from the @FROG stream tonight. Five hours in, Mandy Summers came in to discuss war breaking out with "the dungeoneers". Someone splashed bottled water near Mandy's comics table at some show and some of that water touched her comics. Through her THOT powers, Mandy knows it was intentional. Then Mandy explained again through her powers how several evil bitches were talking with each other in the distance. They were laughing about Mandy and what they had done to her.

@FROG used the situation to I guess show Rippa how its done in terms of video production. He presented a 1980s thundercats parody video done by the guy who used to do video's for Testefy-HD's show. I don't know what a dungeoneer even is, but I guess the video was supposed to own them. Whoever they are.

ptp asked a group of people to go to a club there. They went, but left pretty quickly as they weren't enjoying themselves. then malin went onto the club's website on a stream and saw that there is a room in the basement called the dungeon. this is because the building the club is in is called the castle(though it was never a castle, they call it that basically because it is really old and made of stone) despite the fact that the room wasnt even open the weekend of the convention(as per the club's website), and the only thing the website says they do down there is play 80s movies once a month, there spiraled a narrative that ptp and this group went on some lust-fueled public-orgy sex-binge.
