Right leaning Conservatives have always been the "heels" of the political landscape. No one has any real balls or principles anymore, and it's incredibly sad to see. Both the left and right need to actually realize that our main enemy are these fucking Commies. I watch movies and play games to ESCAPE from real world shit and veg out for a couple of hours. I don't want to be consistently reminded of either real world shit, OR religious shit. While I do consider myself a Right leaning Christian, I can't really take a lot of Conservative commentators seriously precisely because they've been so fucking terrible at just abandoning culture. The Right were fairly successful in early Hollywood. They created shows and movies that had value, lessons you could take in your daily lives. Then the Commies infiltrated and the Unions started appearing, then everything just went to shit.

It's so fucking tiring trying to explain to the Religious Right as a whole why this is actually very, very important.

Something that their hypocritical asses heartily endorsed when it was done with something that they hated (not even anything to do with the game itself, just the fact that it's based on a "transphobe" 's work). They actually harrassed and sent death threats to people for daring to merely livestream themselves playing it. It got to the point where one person who was receiving such harrassment actually broke down in tears on stream.

I don't know how much more/less faggy RedState is compared to the DW - I leave that question to anyone who's better-versed in the conservative media sphere than myself - but from a quick look through the articles this guy wrote (some of which he further links to in the above article), Morse at least seems to have much more consistently pro-gamer takes and an actual interest in vidya as well as other cultural spheres like anime over the years than Walsh & friends ever did. (Examples: Morse defending #Gamergate in 2019, defending anime & games from 2023, bashing the bashers of Hogwarts Legacy also in 2023, and defending Stellar Blade & the sexiness of protagonist Eve's design from last month. That last one seemed especially interesting to me since he doesn't seem to share the tendency toward puritanical censorship common to the DW and other boomercons.) Makes me wonder if Morse might've actually been involved or was even one of those whose careers started (and didn't then flame out) in Gamergate, because such a gamer-friendly attitude and interest in new media is definitely not something I traditionally associate with conservatives.

That really started when Breitbart (specifically at the time disaster artist Milo Yiannopoulos) realized they were alienating young right-leaning men by hating on them and everything they enjoy. So, some on the right got the memo, "Hey, cool it, those guys are voting age now."

I honestly have no idea what to think of him now. Aside from his living conditions, he jumped to the defense of his streamer butt buddy Hasan when he made a fool out of himself, he repeats the same milquetoast takes everyone has much like Mutahar or Critikal and often makes a fool out of himself, but at the same time he has a better idea of what this side is and actually defended it from Kotaku's smearpiece while people like Mutahar and Critikal would/did repeat the same talking points from Wikipedo.

Not exactly shining example of people to compare him to. Understanding Matt Walsh doesn't take a whole team of scientists though. He is a Trad Christian that wants everyone to be as moralistic and puritanical as him.
If he had his way everyone would be sitting on uncomfortable wooden stools at a bland table drinking water and eating turnips without salt and pepper while praising god. Because enjoying yourself in any way shape or form is an insult to god. He wants you to live your life exactly as he tells you to, even if it isn't as he does himself all the time and has no care nor desire for anyone else's way or thoughts.

People like him are part of the reason we're in the shitty mess we're in. Much like the left who demands you do exactly as he does for their lunatic trans black gods.
