Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

A voice actor who was in Baldur's Gate 3 apologizes for following the wrong people.

Struggle session is ongoing. Conform or be ostracized. I am unsure if apologizing to the Twitter mob will go well.

Because it simplifies everything. This is essentially what Sweet Baby banks on. Fantasy is an ideal. "Let's put black people everywhere and have them live in harmony without whitey" is her particular ideal, but it isn't enough that she has her experience all by herself. She wants a "corporate" experience that everyone else shares alongside her, else it's all meaningless to her.

Isekai, on other hand, while brainless is a more organic corporate experience. It is a sign to me that people are pursuing a fantasy where the are far from modernity, separated from all life's complications and put into a setting where they have control.

True, every show has its gimmicks to keep things new and interesting, but the core idea is the same: escape to a world where I'm in control and everyone loves me.
I suppose when you put it like that I can understand the reasoning behind your description. Though anime and games both already provided for worlds to escape to, even if the genre itself didn't implicitly imply it like 'isekai' does. But I don't know about you, not all games, and especially not anime, have a character creator. So you're supposed to watch a version of the heroes journey. But with no hardships to overcome, and no sense of accomplishment for achievements.

I don't think this is so much giving people a power/control/IWanneBeLoved fantasy, since it's a non-interactive piece of media. There's no inserting yourself as the character, it's a pre-defined character 's story you watch to find out the conclusion. But instead of offering something, It's offering you nothing but a brain numbing experience that rots your braincells out of your skull looking at something that coddles your mind with 0 engagement, putting it's viewers into a stasis. And whilst you call it a sign, as I already mentioned.. I don't think anyone, certainly no anime fans, are actually watching it. It's most likely crashing as hard as the triple A industry, but at least it's made to fit a low-budget medium. But if it's propaganda, I can't see what it teaches besides "Nothing but positive thoughts." ?

This guy is retarded. If you're going to shift to the side you believe is winning, shouting it out loud is just going to make everyone realize just how much of a pansy you really are.

I don't think anyone, certainly no anime fans, are actually watching it.
The fact that it's become its own marketable genre means a lot of people watch this stuff. We live in a world where the only meaningful things we have to look forward to are the release of new consoomer products or upgrades to current products. Modernity is oppressive and a lot of people yearn for release.

I'm not sure where else to ask this. With all these campaigns that lead to real world deaths being started on Kiwi Farms months before I ever hear of them from mainstream sources that cite Kotaku articles which have no actual sources themselves, how come I'm never invited to join these things? I'd say no because I'm busy and don't have time to harass and gangstalk random troon (((journalists))) but it would feel nice to at least be asked.

Sorry bro, guess we forgot to send out the super duper secret gangstalking news letter to you. Scented purple paper costs a lot.
Nah, he wants his fifteen minutes of fame. I say, let him cook.
Possibly. Though he's getting a lot of heat for mere clout chasing.

Maybe you'll have better luck if you learn the secret gang handshake?

It's pretty simple, all you do is straighten out your right arm forward, fingers together and parallel to the arm, and raise the arm about 30 degrees up.

Are Sikhs still based or have they become more pozzed in recent times?

It depends on which diaspora region you're talking about. The Sikh diaspora in Canada are numerous, and a good chunk of them emigrated during the late 80s/early 90s. Tons of people born and raised on Canadian soil, exposed to the whitewashing effect of Canadian domestic politics, education, and "culture."

It's quite popular in South Korea and is the subject of many of their equivalent of manga. It's basically stuff like Overlord, the one with the lich.

Cheeseknife is correct in his insinuation that an increasing amount of people are treating video games like isekai. That's why you got so many mysterious white-to-black changes: for some strange reason, black "creatives" and a sizeable chunk of black players into grievance culture hate whitey so much they can't mentally self-insert without the character failing the paper bag test. They have a critical imagination failure.

Though I admit I never thought to boil it down in terms of isekai.

A mundane urban existence with noble inoffensive black people and untouchable women at the top of the food chain IS their version of a power fantasy.

No matter with what skinsuit they try to dress it with, it will always shine through.

Even before the DEI woke bullshit infested gaming, I knew it was heading in the wrong direction win the late 2000's when gaming companies started treating their (expensive) physical products like disposable consoomer goods and stopped putting instruction manuals in their games, made the cases cheaper and flimsier (Ecoboxes were the worst and would actually crack the discs under normal usage over time), and then finally introduced Online Passes so if you bought the game used then you'd have to pay a fee to play online (in addition to already paying for XBL if you gamed on the 360). Even the cover art of games started becoming less artistic and creative and more corporate and boring.

I even seem to recall David Jaffe being a douchebag in a circa-2005 issue of EGM and talking about how used gaming is bad for the industry and how they're going to find ways to put an end to it.

These were the origins of the gaming industry treating their own customer base like shit and looking down on them. The woke infestation of gaming would happen a few short years later, in addition to all of the other problems we see today.

The gaming industry at that point were no longer appreciative of their own consumer base that made them rich. They actively looked down on them and would find new ways to treat them like shit and nickel and dime them depsite the products increasing in price. A few years later gaming" journalists" would start outright insulting gamers and say things like "gamers are dead" and even the losers on major gaming forums like NeoGAF and Resetera would parrot this garbage in an attempt to try to fit in and seem cool and "progressive", depsite being basement dwelling losers themselves.

It's gotten to the point where I haven't purchased a new game in a few years now, no matter how cheap it is. I always though that I would never finish my gaming backlog in my lifetime, but I've finally been making good progress on it because there's nothing decent new to play anymore. The old games are actually fun, creative, and complete experiences. Once I finish my backlog up I then anticipate retiring from gaming entirely. It used to be a fun and interesting hobby before greed, corporations, wokeism, normies, trannies, and other undesirables took over and destroyed this hobby. Even game collecting, a formerly cheap hobby, was ruined by Youtubers, Redditors, and other greedy asshole resellers who hoard classics games.

It's also sad to see how many "journalists" and gamers I knew in the past who would have been against this stuff happening now and spoke out against people like Jack Thompson (who seems harmless compared to the pieces of shit you have to deal with today) fully jumped on the woke bandwagon (censorship, leftist content being shoved in your games, calling you a racist or troll if you don't enjoy modern so-called "AAA games", etc.) in a sad attempt to finally try to be one of the "cool progressive" kids after being social outcasts who never fit in their entire lives.

This isn't just Westerners doing this. You could argue Persona 5 does the exact same thing at the end, just a Japanese version.

It's sad, but it's predictable. Virtually every supposedly counterculture group many of us grew up with (especially musicians) have turned out to be establishment shills when it's clearly their team holding the reins. It's almost like it was all a grift all along.
