I mean, most of these novels and Russian humor at the time was around the early 2000s, it was this weird period where they kinda wanted to emulate US even more

I don't think he really sells anything or tries to prove anything to anyone. He is just massively butthurt and his whole flip happened only because he feels deeply betrayed by the people who dared to think he is fucking cringe with his larping. He is a pathetic faggot who played around with politics by aping off tendencies of the Western side of the Internet and thought he knew better what is best for his countrymen while living a secure life and had his ass financially backed from all sides. He is just a larper and when reality hit him in form of people calling him cringe, he huffed out angrily and decided to 'show them all' by believing that his entire country is lost and full of hopeless people. He wasn't fucked over the the law, he wasn't thrown to a prison for no reason, he wasn't even stabbed at the streets. He was just bullied off the Internet. Then he made up stories about feds visiting him to continue his play pretend fantasy but in another swing now. All this political flip flopping means nothing to him other than petty revenge against the society. And his choice of revenge is being an even bigger cocksucker and nothing else that's noteworthy. I told you that he'd be flipping burgers if it wasn't for his rich parents.

Goblin is a cringe Stalinist larper and despite that people like him and look past it because he is entertaining. When Kirill spoke of Goblin, he was foaming at his mouth from anger. Because Goblin managed to do exactly what Krill couldn't pull off due his complete lack of creativity. All his creativity now is just talking about games considered 'cult classic' in Russia which are jacked off to the bone by the Russian Internet due to how overdiscussed they are. Every video like that just writes itself.

And this shit isn't even about being pro-Russia or anything else. It's about a pretentious rich kid telling others how to live their lives and when that hit him back in his face he decided to hate both the country and it's people. It's deplorable and petty no matter which side you are on.

I don't think I like him.

But its not even that schizo, its a lot of very surface level stuff that you don't even need to know Russian to find out and aren't entirely unique to Russia either.

I still think that if it's expected to read online guides for builds then they might as well be a linear progression system which is decided at the start of the game.

It really isn't. Hell, I'd say reading online guides is the absolute worst way to play these games. You won't find out anything for yourself. The difference between equipment, the types, the enemies, and the stats will all be lost on you for far longer if you go with pre-made builds. It's so much more fun and you understand the game better if you let yourself fuck up. These games aren't that hard unless you really, really fuck up. Grenades and traps can carry almost any build in Underrail, Age of Decadence still rewards you even when you fail, Pathfinder is all about if you know how the mechanics actually work (buffs are god), and it's hard for me to think of any feat in Colony Ship that isn't useful in a situation unless you go out of your way to pick things you'll never be in a situation to use.

Anything that has to juggle the idea of "our racism good, their racism bad, imperium good, fascism bad" comes off as schizo, this goes just as much for western lefties and the ideas they have ti juggle
 
I have a soft spot for Warlockracy. He was my first introduction to the Morrowind/Classic Fallout modding scene, which I didn't know existed. I also think his reviews of KOTOR2 and VtMB are solid.
