That was the biggest break he was ever going to get in Broadway without trooning out. His vocal style is a dime a dozen, and doesn’t have decent enough acting skills to stand out from that. If he didn’t troon out and stuck with theater, he’d only achieve bit parts or chorus (and probably off Broadway, at best). With trooning out and the fame that came from that, he could be a stunt cast, but only if the producers are desperate enough to get people to actually see it. Colleen Ballinger was a theater kid too, and couldn’t get on Broadway the normal way, and was a stunt cast in Waitress because of her fame as Miranda Sings. Since then, Broadway hasn’t asked for her to come back, and that’s how I imagine it to work out for Dylan. Though, if Dylan is ever a stunt cast, I’d want to see him as Dr. Frankenfurter from Rocky Horror Picture Show just because you know he’d do a really bad job at it.
His skeletal frame is more suited for Riff Raff, something he'd also be terrible at.
