He's serious. He thinks theres no good games on PC or some shit and because AAA games are multiplatform there is no reason not to buy them on console. His hatred of PC gaming is one of his most bizarre and retarded takes and has to stem from some ineptitude.
he probably still believes some 90s stereotype that PC's are for nerds, not alpha chads like himself

Null wondering into the thread again with 0 knowledge running semi-apologia for the pigroach by supporting DSPs insane idea that RPGs are somehow the problem.

It's not the RPGs that are the problem, it's the alien playing the RPGs. There are plenty of other streamers, maximillion dood as the prime example which was cited within the last 10 pages before null posted, of people playing RPGs and having great viewership while Dave is complaining RPGs and not his autistic schedule are the problem.

Out of curiosity, does he own a home PC at all? If so, is it a Macintosh?

Yes and no. A normal PC and a mini-PC.

He claimed that he used to build PCs but he is technically inept. It's probably as valid of a claim as his claim of being a bodybuilder too. He just hates not being able to just play the game by selecting it from a menu and having it run.

He is 100% a consolefag.

They're his snort sacs. That's where he stores the phlegm he needs to unleash thunderous snorts and obnoxious throat clears.
as well as snack during the stream.

You apparently missed his berating of a fan gift that is a mini PC with an AMD processor. You know......................the processors that are made to overheat.

He's still using a PC that he bought nine years ago. He spent $3000 on it from some PC building service and gave up on playing PC games when he tried playing RAGE on max settings while recording at 1080P because it started lagging.

I think he also still has another PC that two fans built him, before he bought the $3000 one. He gave up on that one because it lagged playing The Witcher 2 on max settings.

To add to this, Phil's $3K PC is stuck on Windows 8.1 because he is too stupid/timid to update it. Microsoft hasn't provided security updates to that OS since January 2023 and Google ended Chrome support for it in February 2023. This is speculation, but that's probably also his primary business computer he pays bills from and stores his tax information. I know he has that other laptop, but it seems he only uses it to check for tips and monitor his chat.

I believe Phil still has that 1st PC rotting in his closet, but to be fair, that was actually a weak PC for the time in 2012 (i7-950, GTX 460) and is unusable today outside of basic tasks.

No matter how you slice it his laptop, mini and old PC could easily get fightcade running.....not that there wasn't a tutorial txt and folders already setup that we saw on screen or anything.

This is Phil’s current PC & the one sitting in his closet. He also keeps oinking about how he "needs a new PC for streaming" recently. Not sure what the specs on the mini-PC are.
Phil does not "need a new PC for streaming." The problem is Phil is too stupid to update his software. All he needs is someone to update his software and clean out his hardware for him, but Phil is such a retarded consoomer that instead of spending a couple hundred for that he wants to spend a couple thousand for a new box with hardware he isn't going to use and updated software to protect his ego from having to acknowledge that he's stupid. He could maybe use a new graphics card but he doesn't play PC games so he would never use it.

Phil's current PC:
  • i7-4930k 3.9GHz
  • 16GB RAM
  • Nvidia GTX-780ti
  • 256GB SSD
  • 3TB Hard Drive
  • Asus Sabertooth_X79 MoBo
  • 1000 Watt PSU

The PC sitting in Phil's closet:
  • i7-950k 3.07GHz
  • 16GB RAM
  • Nvidia GTX-460
  • Asus Sabertooth_X58 MoBo
Not sure what the specs on his Mini PC are. I assume it probably has a better graphics card maybe?

Edit: When RTU offered to send him one of his old PCs, which put a stop on that instance of 'OMG I need a new PC' begging, I think what RTU would have sent him would literally be what he already has plus a better graphics card.

Correct, Phil has always shit on PC gaming even before the Lemon PC.

It's the usual narc cope from someone who can't accept he doesn't understand PCs, whatsoever.
It's also because of his retarded idea of what "gaming" is supposed to be.
When he refused to buy a capture card and insisted on using a camera pointed at the TV, he listed using headphones and sitting in your computer as negatives, like if you played videogames with headphones and looking at "a small screen" you were mentally retarded. In Phil's eyes, anything but a couch, sorround sound and a big screen aren't real gaming, and he still thinks that btw, that's why he sees PC gaming as inferior, even though you can use a big screen, a controller and sorround sound aswell.

I'm still not sure if he took that one joke from the AVGN at heart or what, but it's weird, and it wasn't just a cope to not use a capture card he was too dumb to figure how to use

I have to say... seeing a 41 year old man repeatedly talk about planning out their 42nd birthday event might be one of the cringiest things a person can watch.

And that's not factoring in that said birthday event is 100% virtual and includes such exciting things like "make birthday man's calendar for the rest of the year" and "chill Q&A". Of course with some alcohol too, because we're adults now and our parents can't tell us what to do! Yeah!

I'm sick and killing time so I've been watching junk on YouTube and got suggested Doody Clips of Phil just yelling at his donors for suggesting he stop doing boardroom meetings and stream earlier.

It's kind of remarkable that he's queued up an entire month of back-to-back-to-back-to-back RPGs and JRPGs? Like, who the fuck would ever sit through that in general? I'm having PTSD flashbacks of sitting on a sofa watching a friend play an old FF game by himself instead of doing anything fun. Just the worst shit to watch.

He's been complaining about the RPG overload for awhile now.

If only he didn't cancel nonrpgs to play all rpgs all the time and had complete control over his schedule and when and what he played.

So Astarion left his party in bg3 and took the equipment he had on with him and Phil is saying Larion don't know how to code due to this and that they need to give him his items back after 120 hours.

He's so fucking retarded it does my head in how he has managed to not stick a fork in to a power point

@Null

If you're really bored, WPIG did a 4 hour deep dive into Phil's PC building experience and his hatred of PCs recently.

But basically, summed up it's
1)Phil always brags about how he used to build PCs, He's slipped up multiple times that he's only built 2 ever.
2)He's a typical consolefag that you would've found on /v/ in the late 2000's, early 2010's. He finds PCs expensive, and doesn't want to mess around with the settings. He'd rather just launch the game on console which is less crashy. There's also the legit criticism that PCs usually get inferior ports, but then again, that goes both ways.
3)He tells a story about how when he was a young adult, he went to a SF tourney, then came home and lightning had killed both his PCs, but left the consoles untouched. That story constantly changes each telling.

Phil's honestly just 1 bad take after another. He thought minecraft was just a flash in the pan back in the day and refused to play it for ages.
