This volcano really does have something going on.It's back again.
Live from Iceland multicam
Dutchsinse is in the chat.
Its probably going to be like this for the next 2 to 4 centuries.Have they changed the country's name from Iceland to Lava Unlimited yet?
If not, Imma copyright it and make 'em pay me royalties when they do change it.
Much better to continuously erupt than go pyroclastic. This volcano really does have something going on.
I'm close enough to Yellowstone, next time won't be a me problem.Much better to continuously erupt than go pyroclastic.

Unless it evolves into siberian traps-type outflow, in which case we'd be privileged enough to witness the beginning of an epoch-defining extinction period. It'll really suck a thousand years from now. From what I have seen from old white geologists on youtube, it is on a faultline like Hawai. It will be able to spew for some time if it wants to, but it will likely not be anything spectacular. No end of the world boom.

They are both flood basalt provinces. The only difference is scale, which in Iceland might be limited by the underlying structure, or might not. Iirc, the deccan traps were also formed close to a rift fault. Not impossible.I am not sure what caused that, but is tjat even feasible with Iceland?
Yes, climate change. Is this volcano why it's been such a crappy winter?
