People who genuinely feel no need for or attraction towards religion usually don't become vocal atheists. They just get on with their lives and don't think about it much.

People who can't shut up about their atheism tend to be more in the camp of "God does not exist, and I hate Him for not existing." Not that Zach would ever come out and say anything that honest.

Zach's pretty much the trans version of Snyder's Lex Luthor, a man who wanted to kill the Superman because God didn't protect him from his abusive father.
