I don't know if I remember right but I swear that along with the Lemon, the mini PC and the LiMB'n'tips tracking device that is his laptop, he also has at least 1 Alienware laptop that he bought back in the "Hand Over Fist" era of Youtube (as he calls it) and that he used a grand total of 0 times. I think he bought either another PC or another high end laptop during that time too that he also never used, but don't quote me on that, but I'm about 99% sure he has an Alienware laptop that's been collecting dust for the past decade and a half.

To add to this, Phil's $3K PC is stuck on Windows 8.1 because he is too stupid/timid to update it. Microsoft hasn't provided security updates to that OS since January 2023 and Google ended Chrome support for it in February 2023. This is speculation, but that's probably also his primary business computer he pays bills from and stores his tax information. I know he has that other laptop, but it seems he only uses it to check for tips and monitor his chat.

Uhhh... Wrong, Idiot! If he updates his computer it will blow up from the combination of restarting and installing new software.

Most likely he wants to end the game quickly now. If he had known earlier installments he would have known that this is a staple of Baldur's Gate: when a companion leaves you loose the gear he has. He is definitely most like Opie. Both are unfunny talentless hacks, always make someone else's hardships about themselves, are stupid as fuck, and will shut you out over any perceived slight because they are paranoid sensitive weirdos. But at least the Opster has wealth, an apartment in NYC w/ a beautiful view, has an actual family, and isn't an awful son to his mother (Phil is way more like Ant in this regard). I have to say... seeing a 41 year old man repeatedly talk about planning out their 42nd birthday event might be one of the cringiest things a person can watch.

Actually in that video when Phil opens up task manager his GPU doesn't even show up in the performance menu.

GPU monitoring with task manager was introduced with Windows 10. It didn't exist yet.

Not being able to stream AND record without ANY hardware encoding while ALSO playing a demanding game like Rage isn't surprising at all. DSP is just a dipshit who, contrarian that he is, refuses to do what every other streamer does: Have a dedicated (relatively affordable) recording/streaming PC. If he had split the $3000 into $2200/$800 for 2 PCs he would've been totally fine.
