The Dozier School for Boys wasn't shut down until 2011. Over a hundred remains were found buried across the campus.Unfortunately yes. Enraging it hasn't been shut down.

Sorry just coming into this thread cuz someone linked it in the Fishtank chat - he was at Elan and Elevations, I think? What's the name? I heard about this but didn't look too deep into it, but if you tell me details I can drop another nuclear post about it. Honestly, that sounds like Straight, CEDU, or Elan at first blush.
Good point; from now on, I'm calling them Teen Gulags.Jesus christ what a thread.
How does this differ from what I've read in works like "Gulag archipelago"? These people are being raped, tortured, starved, killed and being used for forced-labor? And nobody cares? It's still going on? Just what the actual fuck am I reading?
All those poor, poor innocent souls, may they rest in peace!!!!

That would explain a lot about Jimmy.Sorry just coming into this thread cuz someone linked it in the Fishtank chat - he was at Elan and Elevations, I think?
I spent the night vomiting.I will not disclose my experience with institutional abuse. I however I will leave you with this
I wish death on all of these monstersI would redacted for fed postingeveryone one of this child beating rapist pedophiles with glee. You know why I'm the hate filled cold and emotionless person I am today because I had the (feels) beat out of me long ago.

I'm going to go touch grass This fucked my day
I was a fifth grader. Double digits, yeah, but still. Some places take kids as young as 6,7,8… isn’t only teens.
Wow.What a thread. Wow. It’s difficult to read through all the information. My heart goes out to anyone here who survived this horrific treatment. I don’t know of anyone irl that experienced this but I plan on watching the documentary and mentioning it to a few people who I think would be receptive.
My father threatened to “ship me off” to a troubled teen program in the early aughts. He didn’t like that I was behaving like I was traumatized after he constantly abused our entire family, because it bruised his ego to have a problem child. I did my best to hold it together until I could move out, out of fear of being sent away. At the time, I didn’t understand what I was trying to avoid outside of a desire not to be more of a burden financially and emotionally on my family. I didn’t want to be an inconvenience.
Even reading about how bad these places are, I know that my dad absolutely still would have sent me because the boomer desire to punish perceived weakness into conformity runs deep.
Child Gulags it is, thenSome places take kids as young as 6,7,8… isn’t only teens.
So the Dems could score a massive propaganda win by going after some cartoonishly evil Republican con artists... but instead they just fearmonger about "the far right"? BizarreAh, STICKY RICKY, full on HORSECOCK perspective from the perspective of a Clydesdale here! It all comes from the same place, everyone's copying Synanon, everyone's sharing notes and reading from the same playbook, so of course they all smell like the same rat, they're all related.
The big puppeteers are turn out to be fucking Mormons. Robert Lichfield and Mitt Romney.
For shame we have yet to have a SUCCULENT RICO case.
I am so glad my family didn't have the monetary means to send me to one of these places and I just went to the county's juvie and regular juvenile drug rehab (covered by insurance!).
If you think that's bizarre, The St. Lawrence County DA's office only started their investigation into AIR after the release of the Netflix documentary. They've known about this shit for years and I have no doubt they're only taking action now because it's currently in the public consciousness, they never planned on going after these fucks Reminder that AIR is in corrupt as fuck New York, where the "school" was simply issued a $250K fine, ordered to make some partial refunds and told not to issue anymore fake high school diplomas.Bizarre

Have these guys exploited culture war bullshit to get even more victims? This reads like the monkey's paw version of the "parallel society" the likes of Andrew Torba want.

It’s not necessarily a “rich kid” thing. About half are Medicaid recipients, foster kids, etc. For example, kids who have “behavioral issues” (could be autism, adhd or minor rebellion) or often are kids who have been victims of trauma or abuse. Juvie tends to be for (older) kids who did things that can be prosecuted as a crime. For everything else that ails youth, they have these places. Depends on the facility or program, the TTI (which includes younger adolescents/ children as well as teens) is vast. Insurance or kids state medical will pay for most.
You can find this sentiment aplenty on the Farms too ('not bullied enough', 'corporal punishment is okay'). Does it mean KF is full of boomers?boomer desire to punish perceived weakness into conformity
Restraint means to restrict a student's movement by holding them, by using a device to keep them still (straps, for example), or through medication. Physical restraint can mean anything from holding a child's arm to pulling their whole body down
