Battletech - Also known as Trannytech

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
1. Never played Battletech until 2021, was an RPG player, not a mini-lover
Worse than that, not even played the any of the BT RPGs either.

In all seriousness though a Battletech TV series would never work. While Battletech combat reads great to show it on Tv is another thing. This isn't Gundam where the Mechs can move rather agile and do things that are superhuman. I think the closest to that would be the old MW 4 opening scene
You could do a Battletech TV series by not having the mechs be front and centre, it'd remove some of the broader appeal but BT is niche anyway so lean into that by doing some more interesting stuff with it. For example lets see a drama showing the politicking between the Great Houses.

Mage Leader dropped another video about the new Community Leader for Catalyst Games and BattleTech

"The takeover of the subreddit isn't just a rumor. Rem Alternis, community manager and head of marketing for CGL, confirms that they took over online spaces ahead of their community guidelines and blocking campaign."

Surprise, surprise it's a rainbow haired gender special at the heart of it all.

Guess what, today's a double feature of Catalyst being cunts!
Sarna released an interview yesterday by "Rem Alternis", Catalysts Community and Marketing Director. And if the name didn't tip you off, of course it's:

nice peach fuzz there buddy

Some great hits from the interview:
1. Never played Battletech until 2021, was an RPG player, not a mini-lover
2. Was hired by CGL with barely any understanding or experience, at best read En Garde from the Warrior Trilogy
3. Barely played anything other than Classic, still doesn't understand Alpha Strike
4. Has an Archer plushie (ugh), painted a beginner box
5. Was (surprise) one of the big fucktards who pushed that "Queer tales from the Inner Sphere" horseshit on the Reddit and seethed when it got deleted
6. Admits Catalyst took over the old Reddit but got rid of the mods, placing new "approved" ones
7. Says identites aren't political, which judging by that hairline and shitty hair job, I'd have to disagree

The rest of the interview is about 3d Printing, how Sarna is important to the community, some delusional thinking that Battletech will get a tv series, blah blah blah.

Those terrible memes a few months back? This guys fault. The community fracturing into Pro or Anti Catalyst camps? Bingo! Everyone saying Catalyst was trying to shut down anything but CGL approved slop? Absolutely correct.
I just love when something is made by people who have no clue or actively hate the thing they're supposed to promote!

Been getting into the local Alpha Strike scene at a store. Everyone playing doesn't suffer from the rot that Catalyst pushes, but the store we game in surrounded by Troon MTG players. The smell ain't all that great.

It's always the MTG players. Also Shadowrun, which "Rem" (whose real name I haven't found yet) was into, guess which company currently publishes it? And guess what other game had their fanbase crippled by incompetence and troonery?

Ewww that interview. Such a huge fan doesn't know Natasha Kerensky? LMAO! GUYS I LUV SPORTS who's Babe Ruth? Sarna is filled with simp comments man fuck that shit.

More time in last DLC yeah..needs modding story is exactly what you expect/suspect that's fine.

Still rather let down.

Should I press F to pay respects?

Has anyone played Inner Sphere at War? The Battletech TTGSG sounds Kino as hell.

The Star League Civil War is, by itself, a fantastic story for newbies. It's got a fatuous emperor, a scheming villain, and a tragic hero with a bitter ending at the end of it. Jumping straight into the Succession Wars gives newbie audiences a fuzzy impression without the context of just how great the Star League was.

If anything, with the amount of propaganda and indoctrination the Clans do, everyone would more likely be "Castegendered". As in, they know their role, they better fucking do it.

At the very least, clanners would flush a troon's DNA from their breeding programs. They're a pretty zero-tolerance bunch about their gene pools, and one of their warriors cropping up with a mental disorder would not be something they'd be smiling about.
These people take the fact that Trueborns have sex exclusively as a recreational activity and spin it as to mean they're some paragon of progressive thought. Ignoring the fact they're an authoritarian, very much Fascistic society where if the Scientist Caste tells you to go fuck someone and make a baby for the good of the Clan-wide eugenics project, that's what you have to do.

The cognitive dissonance apparently can't make its way through their HRT-thickened skulls.

There's the stories where the middle aged Ter Roshak talked about how he coud *order* any of the trueborn teenage cadets to have sex with him, and that he was griping because Mechwarrior Joanne WAS sleeping with all the underaged cadets of the sibko. Pretty darn squicky.

That's what tickles me, really. The Clans were designed from the ground up to be villains. Even after being humanized and expanded upon, you still don't want to live under a Clanner boot. Some of them may be truly honorable and honest people, but their culture is abhorrent. But these idiots still want to feel "represented" in it.

Trust autists to look at a society designed to be as inhuman, repressive and authoritarian as the Clans, complete with the rape and incest (sibmates are all genetically related) implications and go "YES! I WANT THAT, PLEASE!". All because it would offer them an inkling of a hope of having sex.

Ignoring the fact not a single one of them would make it as a trueborn, of course.

Yeah, no. Clanners are basically all jocks with the dial cranked to around 18 or so; anyone who is not at the tippy-top is liable to die from noogies and being shoved in lockers. Their own scientist caste people were trying to overthrow their government because they were sick of the morons in the warrior castes running everything. Any schlubby enby who wandered up and wanted to join them would likely be beaten to death on the spot, the only hope they'd have for survival would be if the clanner was so distracted from laughing that they got a good head start on running away.

It should say a lot that the only narratively 'good' invader clan, the Ghost Bears, ended up casting away a good chunk of their authoritarian aspects when they integrated with Rasalhague.

Only to erupt in civil war because one Not Bear said "Lol get fucked" Then again the current timeline has us either root for the Ilkhan or for the Confederation. Though perhaps rooting for the Free Worlds League might be feasable since they are poised to take the Wolf Empire down
