EXCLUSIVE: Nickelodeon has ended its long relationship with one of its most prolific series creators, Dan Schneider.

“Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our long-time creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.

“Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery team have created a string of lasting, groundbreaking hits over the years including iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and the current number-one hit show on Nickelodeon, Henry Danger, the network continued. “We thank Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery producers, executives and social media team for their immeasurable contributions to Nickelodeon, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors. And Dan and Schneider’s Bakery are proud of the work they did together with Nickelodeon and will always remain big fans of the network.”

The decision comes as Nickelodeon has opted to cancel Schneider’s latest series, Game Shakers after three seasons. I hear the network intends to move forward with a fifth season of Schneider’s remaining live-action Nick series, Henry Danger. (He also has the animated The Adventures of Kid Danger, whose future is unclear.)

“After three seasons and 63 episodes, Nickelodeon has wrapped production on its live-action series Game Shakers,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “We are proud of the show’s success, and our dedicated and talented cast and crew. Premieres will continue to air throughout 2018.”

Among other things, I hear there had been multiple complaints of abusive behavior against Schneider filed by members of his staff.

Schneider has been Nick’s top creator/showrunner of live-action comedy hits for the past two decades. He is credited in part with discovering such young actresses as Ariana Grande, Amanda Bynes, Jami Lynn Spears and Victoria Justice who were case as leads of his series.

But along with all his success, for years, Schneider had been under a cloud of suspicion over the treatment of some younger stars of his shows. Among the things that have raised eyebrows are his tweeted photos of the toes of his young female stars. Additionally, there have been issues with bloated budgets and long production days on Schneider’s shows.

Schneider has had well documented temper issues for years. I hear there was a flareup last week when Schneider — along with the shows cast and crew — was informed that Game Shakers, was not getting renewed for a fourth season and that another series, Kevin Kopelow and Health Seifert’s Austin & Ally, would move into its production space in the Nickelodeon-owned Burbank studios where Schneider’s series had been based exclusively for the past few years.

Its fucking insane that he was arrested for molesting a little boy and then he got hired to work on a show with even younger boys by the competing network, wtf

You genuinely gotta wonder how many of the child stars going insane was at least partially caused because of being molested/creeped on by the adults around them, not to mention the ones that were probably also targets but managed to keep a normal reputation or faded from the business.

It wouldn't surprise me if the sprouse twins, ariana grande, bieber etc etc would turn out to also have been diddled or something similar

I watched the doc after having it billed to me as a “Dan Schneider doc”. If that’s your perception of it, prepare to be disappointed. They really don’t have shit on him, beyond the writer ladies who allege some real, concrete stuff that they believed in enough to make a formal complaint about. Beyond that, if you’ve seen the 4chan infographics about Dan’s questionable content, you’ve seen it all. I was really hoping for something more substantial.

Isn’t Josh the one with an actual working actor career though? He did play a small role in Oppenheimer. Where Drake has a rap sheet and is going to be known as the poor kid who got fondled by the Pickle Boy.
Josh is Jewish and his mother has some connections to New York entertainment. Odds are he got molested like Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, but was probably got scared by the trainers* the Entertainment Industry hires.

*See Kanye West and the guy who threatened to throw him in the Looney bin.

Funny thing is that was a Canadian TV show. It ran for 2 years(starting 1979) until it started being shown in the US. The first sliming was in 1979, apparently.

At least, according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Can't_Do_That_on_Television#Water,_slime_and_pies
I was born in the 80's and grew up on Nickelodeon. Never cared for You Can't Do That on Television because it just wasn't my kinda show. I found sliming funny as hell, though.
Being a 70's baby, I took to YCDTOTV pretty big with it's material I wouldn't see anywhere else in 1982.

I still remember this one ultra gross sketch where a boy goes up to the mom (there's 2 adult actors that play every adult in the show) and the mom is like "We're going to save money on sewage. And it's all here..." The implication is that all of his shit is in the bathtub. The sketch concludes with the mom pushing the kid into the shitty bathtub (off camera).

is josh peck a lolcow?
Wasn't he hanging out a ton with David Dobrik, Jason Nash and other shitty (both quality wise and morally) youtubers? Shane Dawsons SIL too, i think

Dude sucks, trying so hard to stay relevant. The only interesting thing about him is that he got skinny.

Yeah but Pedophiles don’t like to molest the chubby boys.

I think the worst part was them pearl clutching that Amanda Bynes played a character called “Penelope Taynt.”

Oh god, that was pathetic. Especially when you know half the people soying out about bits like those just love cartoons like Rocko’s modern life and adventure time for including under the radar adult jokes.

I think the lesson here is to build a small, but rock solid foundation instead of a mansion of straw when you’re trying to create a take down. The 4chan Infograph’s I mentioned are nice and tight. “Hey, seems like this guy has a weird thing for feet, and he includes minors in his fetish. Here’s a few examples from the show and his engagement with his audience (minors) on social media”. This doc was like “HOLY SHIT! Here’s ever scene where one of the characters gets anything splashed on them, any sort of potential innuendo, quotes from the staff from second hand sources, every single association of Schneider’s that was questionable, and a host of people saying, in the vaguest possible terms, that they were uncomfortable!”. It just has no impact.

If anything watching this documentary has made me lean towards Dan not being a child molestor at all. Not a single child actor featured in the documentary accused him of anything more serious then being an asshole boss, making some inappropriate jokes and getting some fully clothed massages on set. He comes off as more of a emotionally stunted weirdo then anything. Drake Bell also seems adamant on him being a good guy.
This is the impression I get from Dan.

He seems stunted and also took the job way too seriously with creating these productions, when if anything he needed to be much more laid back due to dealing with kids. He wasn’t making major pre time television, he was making kid’s shows.

But he seemed to be the big money maker at the network (from the sound of it at least?) so had more of an ego about how great he was handling things.

Only controversy of that show was this episode
And they even apologized after airing it

Sprouse Twins seem alright. They got out of dodge so they could go to university and came back to acting after their education I think.

Ariana Grande is gone. Her mom is a communications CEO and her brother producers for theater. Grande used to have parties in Tom Hanks' house as a child and sing Star Spangled Banner to Florida Panthers. Her parents have a lot of odd connections to famous people and the Florida Panthers. Grande would never be a healthy normal person. She is kind of codependent (I think) while being almost batshit insane.

Bieber was crying in some interview where he was scared for Bille Ellish going to some awards program because when he was in her place, Bieber was constantly harassed on camera. Bieber got trashed on and harassed a lot on camera.
Video about: Bieber

I don't think anything is going to happen to Dan Schineider until he passes away. All of his former child actors are either batshit crazy or vague posting about him/work environment.

I am sad that Drake Bell was assaulted, but just because he had a sad backstory still doesn't mean he is not a pedo.

I relish the fact that for all the retarded shade people threw at Beavis & Butt-head in its hey-day, it wound up being a far cleaner show overall with (to my knowledge) no real skeletons in its producers' closets than its low-brow toilet humor contemporaries on Nickelodeon.
It turns out that "Frog Baseball" was wholesome all along.

Who knew? Oh yeah, I did, because Mike Judge is based as fuck.

The John Wayne Gacy connection is the first I've heard of but is also unsurprising.
I am not surprised at all actually.
Wait, people didn’t know this already? If you think this isn’t close to SOP in Pedowood you’re huffing gas. It’s molesters all the way down.
Anyways, I was showing my friend what shows we grew up with in the western world, and ICarly was on Netflix. Brooooo it’s a lot fucking weirder when you’re an adult who knows what went down, Jesus Christ. I could literally hear :politisperg: every time something sussy happened.
If the republicans weren’t cucks, simply enforcing the law would eliminate a lot of their enemies. There’s a reason that the democrats are insistent in eroding laws.

All I’m going to say is that I probably owe Drake Bell an apology. All of this time of calling him a lolcow while unknowingly seeing him coming out saying that he was sexually abused on set during his time as a child Star makes me feel like a jerk.

If anything, him and Jeanette McCurdy are proof that the real ex-child stars of Hollywood are going to start a pendulum shift that makes me think that Nickelodeon will not be the only company going under, if ever.

If it can happen at Cartoon Network, it can happen anywhere.

His Drake & Josh reboot/sequel idea is something ChrisChan would come up with and the premise of Drake being a failed musician is fanfiction tier bullshit.

Even if Drake would've played along you can bet that the viewers purely watch it for Drake (especially those in Mexico)
it's a good thing (bad for us) this guy probably has a P.R. team and won't let him go too unhinged for too long. I could definitely see him losing it if trolled even slightly.

Also, apparently the cast of Ned's Declassified is now getting canceled for joking about all this on Instagram.

(side note I'm really tired of all these washed up child "stars" starting podcasts and cluttering my newsfeed on literally every platform. i don't care that read lines other people wrote when you were 15 into a camera, nothing you say is interesting. please stfu.)

*edit: spelling
